LOL exhaust law.. im sure alex has a 4 inch exhaust. I now have a catless 3.5 inch exhaust. Thats so rediculous. I had a porsche carerra GT pass me today on my road, and that was louder than my STI was...it might of had test pipes on it tho, the guy was younger.

why put your stock exhaust on. Arent stock exhausts restrictive? power loss? you dont need to lose anymore tq.

there IS a law on exhaust systems, anything louder than stock is illegal!

266:59 Muffler; Prevention of Noise. -
I. Every motor vehicle shall at all times be equipped with a muffler as defined in RSA 259:66, in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise, and no person shall use a muffler cutout, bypass or similar device upon a motor vehicle on a way.

II. The engine and power mechanism of every motor vehicle shall be so equipped and adjusted as to prevent the escape of excessive fumes, smoke, flame, gas, oil or fuel residue.

III. No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle in any manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted above that emitted by the original muffler installed in the vehicle and such original muffler shall comply with all the requirements of this section.

i included III just because, this is what john is talking about that has been repealed, so yes you can have aftermarket exhaust systems, but they can't be louder than stock is basically how it works out.

My RX-8 violates section 2 with it's stock pipes and I've gotten 3ft of flame out of my 7 before. It's soooo sick. But ya I've only been messed with for noise or other exhaust related issues late at night in Manchester, and once in Weare.

the state might not have decibal laws but the towns do, manchester has a city ordinance that is a noise fine violation and i received three of them in my old impala and it had a flowmaster with baffles in it completely legal just loud

i live in MA, and i never have problems w/the focus... i push in the clutch and roll by them...especially on the highway

Your muffler (the thing at the end) is supposed to have baffles. If you can stick anything through y you muffler it is illegally modified in the state of new hampshire.

Correct manchester has a noise ordinance. Which is not measued by decibals so basicaly if its loud enough to hear its too loud. I got than one fine for noise.

Well most people here have have no baffles in their muffler, just seems like they don't realize what the muffler is. The apexi n1 is not legal in nh. Just an example.
