    NH Exhaust Law?

So jumping on to the highway today around 8:30, not speeding, being loud or anything of the sort I was pulled over. The state trooper approached my car and asked if I knew why I was being pulled over.

    I Said "no"

He then informed me that my exhaust was modified (as if it was suppose to surprise me)

He then continued to take my license and registration and walk back to his cruiser. About 4 minutes passes and he walks back. Then he tells me that modification of an Exhaust System is illegal in the state of New Hampshire.

He gave me my license and registration back and said that he would be looking for me and if it wasn't fixed then I would be cited the next time.

    WTF is up with that!?!

any muffler in the state of NH can not be strait through it must contain some sort of baffle so that a rod cannot pass directly through it, i had that problem when i had side pipes on my truck, so either it's time for a 40 series flow master or cherry bomb type muffler with one baffle in it, i wasn't able to pass inspection at that time. Did you get a fix it ticket or just a warning?

        verbal warning..

i went down to lous custom exhaust and they were dumbfounded as well..

So What I think i am going to do is put the stock catback back on and keep the race header..

When I went down to lous the told me that the magnaflow mufflers suck.. i got an appointment friday to go down there and figure something out

i say put a supertrapp on there then you can adjust the back pressure and make it run right, plus it's baffles so they can't say sheet

            its because:

            1. its a civic
            2. the cop was gayer than 8 guys blowing 9 guys
            3. your exhaust sounds ricey after the race header
            4. its a honda
            5. he was turned on by your tow hook and wanted a second look

Exhausts are not illegal in NH as long as it has a cat and isnt retardedly loud

NH has no decibal law and in this state modification of the exhaust is only illegal if you modify the routing of the exhaust or tamper with it. THATS IT!

Hmmm, does that mean SLP Loudmouths on my car are illegal? Loudmouths are simply muffler delete kits.
