now that you have your freshly rebuilt turbo, now would be a good time to inspect it all. gently spin the turbine assuring it spins freely, and smoothly. mine personally, seems sticky, but it is from the assembly lube being fairly thick. use your mechanical knowledge to tell the difference between it, and a problem.

if all checks out well, start installing your oil and coolant lines. my turbo has AN fitting installed and i have braided lines.

next, get your manifold/turbine gasket, and mount the turbo to your manifold. or in my case, the adapter. for my setup, i am using an adapter to keep the stock manifold and also have the benefit of an external wastegate.

next, is an extremely important step. this part is what actually created the need for a rebuild for me. take a look at your oil drail line, and also at the oil drain in the bottom of the center housing. assure that they are the same size. if your oil drain pipe is smaller, this will create pressure inside your center housing, ultimately blowing oil out of your seals.. if things check out, install your new oil drain gasket and install the oil drain tube.

once your done installing your lines, manifold(and adapter), oil drain tube/gasket then your TD06 turbo kit should be ready to install!!

when the garage comes, so will the projects.

i dont think the tranny will need to be rebuilt though lol lets hope not anyways

if its bad, ill just get an LSD tranny and be done. and probably wont do it myself unless its strapped to my stroker...

ill do a writeup on more when the time comes.

for now, if anyone has any idea's, i have tons of time. id love some good project ideas. i should make a thread on it lol

The next write-up i'd like to see is "how to remove an engine and prep the engine bay for paint". I'll let you use my car as an example.
