i would think maybe some kind of trophy?? can someone find out how much they cost to make?

I was thinking for a date maybe do June 8th??

Let me know everyones opinion on the date so i can start looking into pulling the permits and making all the posters and such..

yea i prefer to do it sometime in june rather then may, i'm going to CT for an accord meet on the 25th and my work is anal about me taking whole weekends off.

yeah? Well I think the date is set though. June 8th.

Thing is we still need to hire a cop for the event, get some prizes (maybe some shirts as prizes as well)

So here is a list of what still needs to be done.

Hire Cop
Get Prizes
Advirtise
Get a head count of who's in.
Make posters
Make flyers to advirtise around
Make sheets to put in peoples windows who are in the show
Get a guarantee we will have food and drinks
Get tables and chairs
Trash Barrells and Bags
List of those who will be there to set up

your best bet is to contact wmur(news company) and the union leader and see if they will do a story about how a local group of people are trying to help out the family. When you do the story make sure you ask for donations for stuff other then money such as prizes or what not and also go talk to some local companies weather it is a car dealer or taco bell lol and see if they could donate anything just explain why you are doing it.

Neal is correct on this one!!! But IF your going to go through businesses to get donations, be prepared!! Bring a letter when you go to ask, saying what your asking them to donate to, what you are hoping to get, and etc... or else no one will even consider donating.
Prepare what your going to say, and practice it before you go.. because no one will donate to a bunch of kids who keep saying "um" and "ah" and keep fumbling over their words. Just figured I'd give you guys some pointers...
