So here is the last installment of the engine build nothing too new here.

Cover all the rocker arms in engine assembly lube, then put the cams in and cover those with assembly lube too:

Then go ahead and put the cam caps on:

When the cams are at TDC you can insert a pin into the hole in the oil spray bar to lock the cam in so that you can bolt up the cam gear. Don't forget to put the seal in first, and don't forget the key:

Then you can put the timing belt on, don't forget to put the rear timing cover on before you put belt on. i forgot and had to do it all over again. I wont go into the details of tensioning the belt, there are plenty of tutorials on that:

Followed by the lower and middle timing belt covers, motor mount, and crank pulley:

And finally comes the intake manifold, injectors and fuel rail, TB, IACV, FITV, coolant hoses, distributors, plugs and wires. IT IS DONE!!!

Nice nice nice write up man. Can't go wrong with Starett mics, verns, bore gauges ect. That's the only stuff I use at work.

Funny you say dont forget the keys for the cam gears .

I had a kid that graduated UTI and built his own motor . Then when it would not start he brought it to me. YEP sure enough no keyways on the gears . He also forgot to pull the plug in the regulator before he bolted it to the rail and a few other things .

Looks like you have things under control , Nice job .

So this engine was bought by a guy from New Mexico, I crated it up and shipped it to him. He just picked it up this weekend, got there pretty much safe and sound. Also did the swap in my brothers 300m, i don't know why i though it was a good idea, that bay is pretty dam cramped being longitudinal mounted engine and FWD... anyways im open for new projects lol
