Ok to Get some Conversations going...... Lets Get something going this is just 1 of a few Threads i will posting up about Diffirent car manufacturers,

1st one is GM- Lets Talk about Anything GM, Anything, Can be Positive, Can be Negative, Post Pictures of GM cars you like if you want, Dose not matter, If i think the 3800 engine is the GREATEST ENGINE EVER, cool if you think its a POS FWD Fail box say so, nothing should be held back, As long as you post something that has to do with What the Thread is about, and not just trying to attack some one, Ok Got the rules sweet lets get started.....

Well... the way GM is going these days ehh not soo good, IMO they need to Cut some, Brands, and Clean up some of the Companies for GOOD

Pontiac-one day rumors say will be Axed...other days its nope just a performance brand, or a niche brand? Well WHAT IS IT! because when you continue to just Sell soulless FWD econboxs its not helping you, i mean Really the G3 Blows, the G5 Blows, The G6 BLAH really..... Oh dont get me started on the G8

what would be nice...Really GM PLEASE just make Pontiac the Performance brand you said they were.....i think?

Keep the Pontiac Solstice why you may ask....oh i dont know dose the Mazda Miata mean anything to you? this car is a neat little roadsteer, which is trying to get its name up there with them, 10 years or so this car will be what the mazda is today, a nice Auto-X car that 90% of people wont understand but the 10% that do will love it and enjoy it

Pontiac G8- of course i love this car i bought it haha, when i first heard of these cars coming over i said yes and how much, when i saw one in person i said yes and how much, when i drove it off the lot i was sideways and loving it, It is a 361 HP 6.0L V8 in a 4 door family car.....Really! of course was it the right time for this car unfortually not...... Gas Prices, and the Economy will unfortually put a End to this car in 5 years or less *unless Gm can end there self in a quicker time* it would seem, But yes back to this car... When this car came out people compared it to a BMW 5 series, some auto mags where saying this is pontiac trying to be a BMW and doing a Better job at it, that says it right there a pontiac being mentioned with a BMW thats awesome! now i know it dosent have all that Fancy #!#!#!#! the BMW has but really come on this is a $30k car, it has 6.0L V8 and some pissed off looks its not supoused to be a happy German car that you can drive to the starbucks and fit in, all though thats the Great thing you can....because this car is liek a wolf in sheeps clothing it Fits in Almost Any where and i love it----


Now Pontiac dosent have really anything much to write home about yet, sure they say they will bring back the Firebird??? sweet we will see

but what could they do? i dont know... give the G5/G6 some balls??? offer Aftermarket Support for it, Come on GMPP i know you guys have #!#!#!#! in that book you can use to help, or wait Maybe offer the same Engine GM has in the Cobalt SS, but then this would be the problem with GM having 5 cars of them same thing on 3 diffirent Brands *DOH*

what pontiac dose need is maybe one or two more PERFORMANCE Cars... what and how i dont know.... Bring back the GTO maybe? with some updated looks? or make a 2 door G8, we will see Pontiacs future..i hope it is a good one

chevrolet- i dont know where to start, They are the Main GM Brand it would seem, Trucks,Suvs,Econo Cars, Some performance Cars, luxury cars,

They have everything and anything it would seem, cant really say what they should do, they are trying to make every oen happy having a wide Range of Cars and Trucks, which in todays world i guess is a good thing.....



GMC- IMO they are just Rebadged Chevrolet trucks with a few changes, Maybe take those Changes and put them into the Chevy trucks??? and then AX them, or have GMC just do Trucks or Limited EDT things who knows....


Caddilac- They are trying very very hard to be up there with the big boys of european car companies and one car i think is doing that The CTS-V 6.2L V8 500 HP, ummmmm yes? and the looks are pure SEX

other then that they are doing what they do good, making great luxury cars that our grandparents love



Saab&Saturn- Uhhhhhh help?

have been criticizing GM since i can remember, wondering why they need to sell the same friggen car under 5 or 6 different brands.

axe pontiac, gmc, saab, saturn, and keep it basic.


need to tune down the amount of cars they offer.

aveo, cobalt, impala, corvette, trucks/vans

nothing else is really necessary. want a roadster? spring the extra money for a vette. they do just fine on road courses, me and paulo744 know that from first hand experience


all the car companies are offering too many. nissan, toyota, etc. etc.


who needs 2 or 3 different SUV/Crossovers? who needs 3 different midsize sedans to offer? who cares if its an infiniti or nissan? acura or honda?

frugality is key.

They Could Ax Saturn and Saab or sell them off that is to make some money, GMC isnt really needed like i said before maybe have them specaility trucks or something? Pontiac They could Get rid of the G3 G5 G6, Vibe, & Torrent and keep the Solstice and G8 and Bring in some over Perfromance RWD cars and have them As GM's Performance line....


But your line for Spring the Extra money for a Vette because there is no reason to have a little Roadster (if you were talking about the Solstice) thats dumb.... You can get a new Solstice for around 20k, a new vette will cost you 50K+ for them and the older ones are not that cheaper.....and to be honest the 80s where horrrible for those cars

but i do agree with there is no reason to have many of the same Types of cars Across 3 brands.....unfortually you pay a little Extra for some because of the name, Less is more i guess would be it?

gm has some of their vehicles made in Canada...isnt that NOT a part of the united states? i believe so

MMMMMMMMMM... Uuugggghhhh... Grand nationals/t-types are soooo sexy. 3.8t, sick. The grand nationals back in 1987 actually performed better than GM's corvette. They ran almost a full second faster in the 1/4 I believe. At the time, they were the fastest production car. I love G bodys. I've owned quite a few of them but I have yet to own a Regal.
