Sweet there are two threads.. lol.

I should be getting the dongle any day in the mail. I'll make a video. The only reason that I ended up getting it and buying Torque is because another DSMer used it and posted the info to be and that helped us diag his car. lol. I have one of those cheap $300 scan tools, but it doesn't do much but show hard codes and freeze frame data. The Torque app shows live pids, so I'll see how it works.

have the same bluetooth dongle. It reads slowly so you WILL have a lag in any realtime readings. However it is useful and cost effective when paired with torque for clearing and checking DTC's.

That being said I can see people buying high-speed bluetooth dongles and using 7" tablets for new clusters.

                  OBD link MX= $130
                  Google Nexus 7"= $200
                  Torque Pro & Racing Meter = $10

Fully custimizable Racing style display with data logging capability for under $400

I've used the innovate ot-2 in a few of my cars. It works off wifi not Bluetooth but is pretty much same tool. http://www.ot-2.com

So I just got my dongle and logged the trip picking up the kid from school. Now I can't figure out how to get what I logged. lol. You are supposed to be able to view the log here but I can't figure out how to log in.

So the app is almost useless. I logged a trip but there's no way to view the log. I can email it to myself but there's no way to open it. It's a CSV file. I don't know.

I also tried the Track Recorder plugin. Which is cool. But there is no way to export the video without buying a Windows or Mac computer.

The live data is cool, but hard to watch while driving. Useful if you need a particular function.

The knock function kicks ass. Also, my car doesn't knock. Yay.

The Track recording plugin is useful since you can play it back at least and see what's going on. Which is interesting. Incredible amounts of lag though.

Tommorow, I am going to test another app that I installed and see if it's any better.

A csv can be opened in excel and you cam make graphs with the data for easier reading.

The lag is probably mostly from the China toggle. I read that any elm 327 that says v1.5 is fake. If you go on elm's website they don't make a v1.5 . The new one is v2.0 and the old one is v1.4.

Oh yea and a bunch of people stated that the cd that comes with it has a virus on it, so don't use it.

These were all reviews from Amazon and some forums.

I may just hold off and go for a more quality tool
                                Something like this

OBDLink MX Bluetooth is the fastest Bluetooth OBDII scan tool for Android & Windows with support for SW-CAN & MS-CAN. Includes the free OBDLink app for Android.
