Caddy pickup, in the 10's and going for more

Breaking into the 10's is something that has taken many years, some of you remember when i had my Red and White Impala and was down into the mid 13's with that. I started back in my Junior year of high school drag racing so it's taken me 12 years of persistance and research to get this far. I will keep my posts simple on this page and document the changes i make as i now try to run under 10.5 and the push for the 9 second zone as we get later into the fall.

Thanks to those who helped me get where i am and i look forward to your support as i push this setup as far as i can.

That having been said, tomorow is the 9th, it's friday and looks like nice weather so i'm gonna get down and get my seatbelts installed in the truck and it's back to the track to make another go at it, hopefully this time i can stick the launch, hope to see you there.

raced last night, nothing record breaking, ran on wastegate spring with a good launch, 1.57 60' 11.36@118mph only running 4.4psi :-) need to put a switch in to cut the transbrake from the line lock, i cant foot brake a burnout, discs have too much holding power. best pass was 11.1 with a bad 60' and 150*+ air temp

Headed to the track within 1 hours time, got the transbrake seperated from the line lock so now i can do robust burnouts, tires are aired up, just gotta rinse the dirt off and i'm good to go. Wish me luck.

i wont post all the intermediat times but here's my day first number is 60' time then eighth mile time and speed then quarter time and speed, pump gas, no meth injection air temp below 145*, safe to say i should buy stuff for the 9's next year, More boost, meth, tuning suspension and weight reduction and i should be golden.

Why no meth? I would imagine that would be good for an easy 40hp at your level. You need a high/low boost switch. Maybe set it up to trigger a solenoid/switch when you click it into 2nd gear. My old Evo had a very basic 2 stage manual boost controller controlled by a 12v dash mounted switch.

Launch it at 10psi, then kick the switch and meth on and let her rip to 15 psi

that's a good thought, just never got it over to you to tune the setup, i have the Greddy profec b spec to, i think there is a way to switch it from low to high setting on the fly. The meth has a pressure switch to come on above 9psi, the pressure isn't right i don't think, it bogs the truck down, you know more about that than i do.
