Some know I bought Matty's 91 Civic to convert into a weekend bastard. Yes I still have the Miata , but I did not want to have to run a full cage in the Miata for Hillclimb when I can do pretty much all other events with a HArddog rollbar.
We took it around the building yesterday for a quick putt in the snow . Wish someone had more time to Video as I would have gone across the street to get some good action .
So we started stripping the car today . Here are pics to show where this project starts and will keep things updated as we progress .
Looks like I will be running in Modified due to some rules and some missing OEM stuff that leaves me out of the lower classes. But keeps me in the dirrection I want to take the car anyway.
1. Strip the car to nothing interior wise .
2. Fresh fluids
3. Fab a new intake system
4. Fab some stiffening components to take the abuse of being thrashed and to keep the suspension more consistiant
5. Rally flaps so I can be cool to
6. decide on tires
7. Fab skid plat to save oil pan from damage
8. Cage it at some point
9. Swap it at some point
will add more as we compete stuff
