I've got a hell of a trip tomorrow
So I'm taking a big step towards getting my car on the road tomorrow when I'm getting the exhaust done. I've bought a lot of mandrel bends and all the parts required to get the system done (I hope). I got the final peices today with the exhaust tips.
I hope they look good on the car.
(what do you guys think Rice? or Nice?)
So heres my Route tomorrow. As you can see each location has a Letter next to it.
Let me explain

So I just helped my GF buy an 03 V8 4unner and Man I love it. I picked up the car this morning and got it to the exhaust shop. This was the first test of the 4runner tow vehicle and it didn even break a sweat. I could get up to 80 mph to pass while towing just using part throttle as if the car wasnt loaded. It was shocking although I was cruising most of the time at 65-70 and it was handlin it no sweat. I wouldent be shocked if my gas mileage didnt change a lot between when the car was loaded and unloaded because the car felt very unstressed.
Heres me picking up the car at 9am
I just got word back from the exhaust shop that the exhaust is complete. From what they were telling me they got it tight to the body so I shouldent have clearence issues but they couldent use all my mandrel bends.. they had to make a few bends that were realy awkward so they had to make a few bends of their own and they dont have a mandrel bender so I got a few cruh bends.. I'm a little upset.. but I guess I need to remember that with a true dual 3" exhaust I am probably only losing MAYBE 5whp because I couldent go mandrel bent the whole way back.
I'm gonna be picking the car up in the morning and we'll see what kind of job they did.. If they can knock out a completly custom true dual 3" exhaust from the headers to the tips from the time I dropped the car off at 11:30am and have it done at 5:30 and it looks good.. damn thats pretty good
If it looks good I am gonna talk to them about doing a custom turbo setup on the car in the future and if they'd be interested in doing something like that.Comment

If they couldn't cut your mandrel bends up well enough to not use crush bends idk if I'd have them do a turbo setup. lol- Justin

I went with sweet thunders. You can see right through them. Basically like glass packs..
Should sound like this
That black trans am has sweet thunders
Ehh.. honestly man I had somewhat of a hard time just finding an exhaust shop that had 3" mandrels for their bender, never mind the capability of doing mandrel bends.. maybe I have just been looking in the wrong place, but everywhere that would do mandrel bends also wanted to do tig welded stainless steel for $1000+. I dont need all that, this is a fair weather car anyway, and I dont see it lasting more than a few years.Comment

Anyway got the exhaust on today and some initial clips of me revving the exhaust. Looking back on it I should have let it idle more between revs, but its positivly quiet now in comparison to before.. Its almost too quiet now that I was getting to like the open headers.
Sound is distorted because I think my buddy was too close to the car but as he moves farther away towards the end and as I start really revving it up.. you get more of a real feel for the sound.
Honestly this was the goal for my car in terms of exhaust note, and in person my car actually sounds pretty close.
