most power for the money, get a junkyard LS3 truck motor and put a couple turbo's to it, 500+ hp without trying1993 Cadillac CST-V8 rear mount turbo, 12psi 10.56@123mph and burning up the ozone

Sorry forgot to mention weight balance too. I wanted to keep the stock weight balance of the rx7 Or else I would have just gotten an iron truck block, they are cheaper, and with truck manifold turbo setups and lower compression from the factory, makes it even easier to make power with them.Comment

Prob not lighter, but should be within 50lbs overall, which is amazing still. If you swap one of the newer Rx7s (the FDs) your right though, the car actually gets lighter after the swap.
And still more reliable than the rotary could ever be at even half this power level, its really a great swapComment
