New to NH, but not New England

How we doing guys? My name is Jon. Just mived up to NH from RI. Was around auto scene down in the MA/RI area with a few sites/clubs that are no longer around. ive owned a few cars in my day, everything from a high school beater to a luxury import. I currently have a 2007 Audi A4 2.0t quattro wagon in pearl white. Few performance and appearance modifications coming soon as I just bought the car on 4/20. I owned a 2011 scion tc and a 07 lexus is250 before this one, and the high school beaters previous to that. I probably know a few people on here but don't realize it yet.

P.S. looking for a performance/tuning shop and a good tint place in the concord/manchester area if anyone knows of any. and if anyone has any info as to how strict NH is for their enforcement of tint on vehicles, let me know.

feel free to PM me with any info as well. hope to meet some people soon as the weather is getting better. I attached some quick pics of the car as it sits now.

    thanks

    jon

I know are Vendor Granite State Dyno had a A3 on the dyno last month , don't know what they have for tuning software..

oh hai. former Audi owner here had an 02 S4. If you get a performance flash I'd stay away from GIAC. Their tunes are a bit more aggressive and a stock tranny sometimes doesn't like them lol. Not worth it in my opinion. I had a milltek super dual exhaust on mine was happy with the sound. As far as tint in NH I just wouldn't do it lol, my .02 on that subject

Welcome! NH is pretty strict on tint. Some town enforce it more than others. I've got 20% all around and got a ticket my first day out. I now roll with the front windows down. Can't have any tint on front side windows or windshield, up to 35% on the rears.

thanks for the info on the tint. do you know if the mercedes style blue is okay? ive heard mixed answers about the legality of installing it aftermarket. and how is granite state tuning? trying to get a feel for local shops. anyone know anything about Dark Customs in Webster? my GF pointed me to them. they seem to build some pretty nice looking VWs so I'm thinking they may have some info on Audi as well.

I always thought GIAC's flash was weak or "safe" , I though revo and apr put down bigger #'s . I always heard revo's was to aggressive , I didn't agree but people said it.

Not sure about Revo but my experience it was opposite. APR was safer should've gotten that. The hp numbers were about the same but GIAC was too aggressive in the lower band and had higher torque numbers, which caused the issues with a lot of people. (Then again this is 2006-2008 data when I researched and modded the car, the newer equipment could be much different.)

From what ive seen on vortex, APR is the way to go. but that place seems to be as helpful as helen keller directing traffic. I contacted them but would either need to drive out to PA for them to do it or find an authorized APR distributor around here. Kinda sucks.

LOL about vortex, ur 100% on that one. Nope NEA in Concord does it if Alex at GSD doesn't offer it. I'd recommmend doing the flash over chipping the ECU, also.

NEA does the APR set up? or they do ecu reflashing for audi/vw?

I'd go revo over Apr , everyone I know runs revo. I had C2 but it's pretty aggressive . My buddy said my car with just the C2 flash pulled harder then his car with cam's and Giac cam tune. But this is on R32's so my information my not carry over . One ride in my car and a week later he had switch to C2 ..lol

Apr, just has a bunch of little things like valet mode and the ability to shut it off and stuff. So if your into that stuff then I guess it's the way to go.

                          Beautiful A4!

The blue tint is debatable as it technically is illegal, but seeing as its a new car I don't know if law enforcement will tell the difference between factory and after market.

I have had multiple Audi's and they are all generally the same bang for your buck. I personally like Revo as they have a test track not far from their development center and I know everything is track devloped and tested.

idc about the bells and whistles. all I really want is a reliable reflash that will boost performance but not run the risk of blowing up anything important.

anyone recommend a reputible, decently priced tint shop or installer? I'm willing to pay for good work but not through the nose.
