You're right, it's somewhat different. However, it still gets dangerous, and we still enforce speeding tickets and some of us enforce statutes on modifying cars. My little rant wasn't about my job being dangerous, it was about them being ****ing retards and about city cops having a tough job. You can hear all the stories you want from your friends, but you don't experience it day in and day out.

I may not be a city cop yet, but I am still a cop and still deal with BS. So I will defend their position since I can understand it. I'll let you know what the critical danger was like in January.

fact...manchester fire has been getting called to more and more calls that have nothing to do with fire or EMS because a civilian calls for an officer and they are told he/she will be there and they never show so the civilians call the fire department.

the fire department on the other hand will show up everytime they get called which leaves a positive relationship with the person that called.

but how about we try and find a place to hangout instead of this crap? or maybe start a new thread for it
Wow... how long did it take for you to think of that one?

That's pathetic that PD takes that long to respond. A little bit of a wait is understandable sometimes, however it shouldn't be so bad that FD has to be called. It shows faulty leadership and a lack of general disorder/care, and again, that's the opposite of the job discription.

And I'm done with the discussion. I wasn't going for a #!#!#!#! show or anything, just trying to kind of clarify things and offer alternative thoughts.

Better than an M203? Before you ask, yes, I really do patrol with one. Couldn't tell you why.

i know this is a week late, but no, a town cop cannot do that

only highway patrol officers can because they act as DOT reps. Staties themselves can't do #!#!#!#! but issue a "defective equiptment" ticket.

Not sure if he can tow it or not, but it's definitely a power trip. It's not like there are drugs in the car or anything, so a ticket is plenty. No need to take the car from someone and mess with their ability to get to work and #!#!#!#! like that.

I drove past 5 cops with my exhaust coming right off the header (low car + railroad crossing = me getting ****ed up) from NHMS to home and nobody batted an eye.

Then again I was grimacing because my #!#!#!#! was so loud so they probably figured I had broken it and was in enough pain already having to drive it home.

I find that if I'm not being a jackass cops don't bother me, even driving around in a car with a bright blue roll cage.
