Anyone with Truck/Trailer that can help out...

UPDATE: A friend of mine owns a landcaping company and has a trailer we can use to do this with. Thanks for all the help/advice and offers everyone!

Blew my Transmission on Monday night in Concord. 3rd gear shattered in my '07 WRX. My car currently sits in Concord near the mall at a buddies house. Looking to relocate to my house in Allenstown. Its about 8 miles away. Any help would be appreciated. Looking to avoid multiple towing costs now that I have to buy a new transmission...of course I will compensate, but just looking for a better deal than $100 from a towing company to move it 8 miles...then an additional cost once I decide where its going to be re-built.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Car weighs roughly 3200lbs...

yeah...I limped it back about a mile or so to his house in first gear. But 3rd gear is shattered in the gear box and it doesn't sound very good. Listen to this clip for an idea. When would you be back in the area?

You rent the trailer from UHAUL, ill tow it for free....

WE could push it or something onto the car trailers (not dolly) so AWD friendly. I have towed James' 3000GT and Dans 240 before

            Trailer's cost roughly 60 a day.

I am free all of today after 2. I facebooked you my number.

Sign up for AAA. I think you can use it right away. First 3 miles are free, then $3 a mile after that. So it'll only be $45 when it's said and done and you'll have AAA!!!

5 miles free with Membership, upgrade to Plus and you get 100 miles free, up to 3 times a year.

I found the page with the different options, Base, Plus and Premier and what you get with them.

46 bucks to sign up for the base plan not sure how much more for the Plus, but like I said Base gives you 5 miles. I would recomend AAA, not only does it get you a tow but if you plan a trip you can go and get travle books and maps for free. They will even map out a rout for you and set up the hotels and stuff, Dicounts at Hotels. My parents do it all the time.

AAA is a good idea, I should sign up for future issues. I may look in to that. Thanks for the offers so far. I think I may take up Kevins offer. I'll contact him later tonight. Still at work...
