Well... I have been into dsm's for a while now and with the mods you have I will tell you what I would do... First get a cheap wideband with a good sensor(zeitronix) then go onto ebay and get a cheap old Palm Pilot (color hopefully) once you get that download MMCD solfware(ITS FREE!!!!). This will now let you see your knock count, actually air fuel ratio, throttle posision, rpm, timing and all sorts of other good stuff. With all that then you can really get your tune down pretty good by yourself. dsms are very forgiving. Just tune it to 10.9:1 just to be safe and go to town. go to www.VFAQ.com and that has a whole bunch of good info on it. You will learn alot in the experiences of this car, then you will hate it, then you will love it again. Its a love hate relationship.
ps Also take your ecu out and see if there is a stock chip in there or not. With those mods I figgured the person who put it together probably had a chip or dsmlink or something. Your looking to see if where the chip goes is "socketed" which means that instead of the chip being soddered in it is actually pushed into a "socket" the picture shows you what chip I am refering to. If there is a stock chip like in the picture I would get a chip from www.dsmchips.com (keydiver) go get rid of fuel cut and also it will give you a two step limiter and he can get your air fuel VERY close, just have to give a list of mods. just my $.02
#!#!#!#!, I forgot to add--and the picture of the computer innards made me think--your #!#!#!#!ty tune might not be a tune issue at all, it might be leaky capacitors in the computer.
It's a pretty common problem with these computers, machv motorsports sells the proper capacitor but if you can find out what it is you can probably find it at radioshack or something for cheaper.
The stuff contained in the capacitor is very caustic and has the ability to eat through traces, silicon protectant, and the PCBF itself which can lead to numerous electrical issues and unsolvable problems that seem to relate to hardware issues.

Yeah in the caps there is come carosive(sp?) acid type stuff and they heat up and the goo goes all over the board. If you send out the ecu to dsmchips then he will replace the caps and socket it if it isnt already done for a pretty small charge. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! They are 285 dollars to get a new one.
Nick- That picture is actually off my computer that dan posted up believe it or not...
one last question I have for you guys, the fitting for the oil filter housing that branch off of it for the oil cooler lines, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find the fittings for it, its NOT the stock oil cooler, I need fittings that have a threaded end for the housing and the other end needs to be barbed to be able to fit a 3/8" rubber hose on it and clamp it down with a hose clamp, one thing that I don't know is the thread specs for the housing itself, if anyone knows that spec, could you let me know asap. thanks.
all the way at the bottom of the page is the one that has the an fittings instead of barbed fittings. Thats actually the way it should have been done in its day.
ya, I actually got referred to this place called omni services right on the border of derry and londonderry near the airport, i was in there for 2 seconds and the guy knew exactly what the thread was and everything, great group of guys over there, I deffinetly recommend anyone on this site to go to them for their auto phumbing needs.
