Hey whats up guys, i'm new to this forum and don't know a whole lot about my car yet, but enough to get me by, i own a 91 gsx with many major mods, it has a tune right now but its not the best one, I can't get a full decent tune because I need to break in the motor first, as what the previous owner told me, it sputters a little bit due to the bad tune, so i'm looking for someone that has a basic knowledge more then me to come and check it out and make sure that the tune is safe for the car for about 1000 miles till i can get a decent tune, I will pay for gas and time, if anyone is interested, i should have the car running by monday or so, so this isn't going to take place for a few days. pm me or call me 6037033529, my name is Kyle, thanks in advance.
Need some help!

DSM link 3 just came out from what i hear. id compile a list of all known mods. id buy a really good tool set and possibly a lift for your house. And by no choice of the matter, you will learn to work on your car. Good luck and welcome to the forum!Dan

I can't really afford dsm link right now, and its kinda pointless because I already have a computer tuner, I have the apexi neo air/fuel piggyback computer tuner, i'm just not used to these cars, i'm usually working on hot rods and stuff along those lines, but i'm trying to get my feet wet in different applications. I've never done this type of tuning before especially for something like this. I just looking for someone that has experience and more knowledge than me in these cars to look at the current tune to make sure it will be fine till I can break in the motor.Comment

I had the apexi neo and absolutely loved it....youd be suprised at the features it has to tune with once you really get into it, but i would DEFINETLY read forums and suchs on dsms and what others have tuned to. it will help u a lotOriginally posted by gtmustang00A 350fwhp civic will screw for sure and costs way less. I hate to say it on a forum like this cuz ill get #!#!#!#!, but my next build will be a extremely clean 2 door civic.Comment

I'm not trying to be a dick man, but this sounds like a bad situation. You seem to know close to nothing about modified cars, and yet now you own a heavily modified car that (hopefully) has a bad tune..
Was this a craigslist find or something?- Justin

ported 16g with ported 2g manifold, 560cc injectors, walbro 255lph fuel pump, wiseco pistons, big fmic, cai, evo 3 maf sensor, 3" turbo back thermal dynamics exhaust, and of course the apexi neo tuner, no wideband o2 yet (next upgrade) little to expensive for this second, and i'm pretty sure thats it, if you have any questions just ask, i check the forum a couple times a day.
thanks in advance for any help.Comment

this wasn't a craigslist find, it was one of my close friends that i attended universal technical institute with, fyi i do know a lot about modified cars, but i'm used to working with carburated cars and adjusting fuel with a turn of a screw instead of electronically controlled fuel injection, i've gone to school for this stuff and unfortunately I haven't reached the class that is devoted to tuners and street cars like so. Not to be a jerk man, and I apologize in advance if this starts some trouble because that is not what i'm looking for, but isn't the purpose of forums to get questions answered, I know you and probably about 75% of this forum has been around these types of cars for longer than I have, I just don't know if i can trust myself to do the tune by myself because I have never done it before and never showed anyone that has done it. Thats why I am asking for some help. Any help would be appreciated.Comment

I've got no problem with you asking questions, I was just afraid that the situation was as I described. I've seen it far too many times. I'm glad you have some car knowledge at least!- Justin

ok, i mean like i said I just don't trust myself doing this tune by myself, let alone that I have no idea how to work this type of system, so if anybody has any suggestions that would be great, I'm sure its as easy as everything else in a car but i'd rather be safe than be regreting it a couple of weeks down the road.Comment

look up the directions for the NEO online and it will all become clear.... its so simple.... add/subtract fuel (in percentage) at different RPM increments.... hence why you'll need a wideband..... a datalogger will make life easier too....
shoot for about 12:1 AFR at WOT for a safe reliable street tune"Straights are for fast cars, Corners are for fast drivers."
