i get 20 hr flat rate.... but i was honestly making more when i was getting 16/hr flat rate at the dealer cuz i was pulling 60+ hrs a week no prob....here i struggle to make 35! ( starting to get more busy lately) theres a couple guys at my place making $25+ flat

35hrs = more free time!

Obviously total money is important, but it's nice to get time off to enjoy your life!

^^^^ lol...hes doesnt get it.... the whole flat rate mentality.....

I work 40-45 hours a week and make/get paid for 35 hours
I used to work 40 hours a week and get paid for 60+...!!!!

The labor times at the dealership were ALOT better..... usually 40% better than what i get here. 1.25 here was 2.00 there (brake job/1axle) .... 1.1 here was 1.8 there (4WA) etc etc.... it was easier to make more hrs at the dealer.... and there was more work too.... i was always busy wether it be customer work or PDI's and used car safety checks (my bread and butter!)

i don't get flat rate but then i do all the computer work with the dtc's. It sucks some times i be doing brake work or other tit jobs and then, hey tyler i need you to hook up to this and tell me whats wrong. Do you guys get paid for diagnosis time or is it like up here were you don't cause the dealers are jack asses

1.2 hours for diag (CEL) where im at.... and very rarely can u get more..... you need to be on it for like 2-3 hours before you go ask to get approved for another hour.... its BS
