New Hampshire Tint Laws

so i get alot of people in my work that seem to never believe me when it comes to tinting windows, so i figure i'd post the laws up here so everyone else would know it....

• front window can only have non reflective tint on the top 6 inches of the window
• absolutely NOTHING can be applied to the front drivers and passenger windows
• rear side windows and rear window can not have tint less than 35%
• none of the windows can have a tint resembling a metallic or mirrored appearance
• any color you want to use is permissable
• if the rear window is tinted, BOTH side mirrors are required

when you get pulled over and you say you have a problem with your eyes by the way, the cop doesn't give a sh*t 9 out of 10 times because you should have an exemption from the dmv. to get that exemption takes a long time and it's the biggest pain in the a$$, despite what people think, a doctor's note isn't as easy as it sounds. but you'll only really get hassled if you're front's are tinted or the rear's are clearly excessively tinted.

so do i, it takes forever for the note. i sent a letter to the dmv and they have you send records documenting the fact something is wrong that tint could better aid you with. my doctor is cool and he got all my paper work and complaints and such and wrote a letter to the dmv. they replied with a letter stating exactly what they wanted this time lol. still up in the air and it was almost 2 months ago haha. they're still 'reviewing' it's authenticity. i know ill get it, but it only gives you a reason to get your front windows tinted i believe, doesn't have much to do or help you with going darker than 35% from what i hear.

if you do get pulled over for tinted windows, either 1. you'll get a fine and the cop will call it a day or 2. you get a fix it ticket where you have 72 hours to fix the tint and have it signed by an approved inspection station then you bring it to the dmv. if you knwo someone you're pretty much all set.

yeah, its going to be a little longer for me, i use to go to EastBoston for my doctors, BethIsrale, it was my docs for god the last 18 years, well now that im 19, ha yeah, my mom found a doctors alot closer to our house, so i just got all my stuff transfered, kind of waiting to talk to my new doctor about it and what not. so i will probly be having a nice wait,

oh and an other thing you think your eye doctor would be the one to give you a note but hey its NewHampshire who knows!

i find this ironic that you got tint all around pretty much and are posting the tint laws, i want my front two done but i can't get a note and it'd be a hassle so i'm gonna ride with no tint so everbody knows it me

Just got a tint ticket last week from the infamous NH state Charger, only $40- for the drivers and passenger windows... and the state trooper wants me to take off the tint then call him, and hes going to meet me supposedly. And if i dont, he said expect a call from the DMV and a court date?

Too bad my cars put away for the winter and im not driving to get it taken off,, hes going to get a call but im not meeting him anywhere, unless he wants to meet up in the spring lol.

Also warned me about no front plate, i guess im gonna finally have to put one on

when i had my wrx i had limo tint on all 3 rears. never got bugged by the fuzz. but i prefered vegas and phoenix where i could have it all around.

okay so i know iv asked this ? numerous times...but like suspension being too low, tinted windows, loud exhaust....are these like parking tickets? u jus pay em and theyr all set? or do they go against ur driving record/can u get ur license taken away????

Like parking tickets.. although i think no front plate counts as a moving violation.

watch out, i doubt he'll even remember to call you. but there's two things you can get when pulled over for tint. a ticket (which is usually the godsend) that you pay and everything's over with, usually. or the fix it ticket, take the tint off, have inspection station write it off then bring it to the dmv << if you don't do this you're car is deemed unregistered and if you get caught driving you will get a ticket for driving an unregistered car which is definitely a serious offense lol. but if you only got a ticket, i'd just pay it and move on haha and hope he doesn't call you, cuz the excuse of having your car put away obviously won't mean anything to the statey.

the front plate is in fact a moving violation and a $150 dollar fine...i've had that twice now, no fun. had to serve fu(king 45 days for that sh*t. tinted windows is just a fine or fix it ticket, same with exhaust and suspension. they aren't classified as moving violations (or with the multiple exhaust tickets i'd be screwed right now haha). so don't worry all that much.
