-taylor switch on off for all battery power w/removable key.

    -autometer 2 pod cluster mount.

-moroso "baffled" oil pan for the b18b.(just won a brand new one for 100.00 shipped)

    Whats next:
-a set of mugen rear trailing arm bushings, because as of friday when i went over the chassis of the car, mine are shot to #!#!#!#!.

    -2 gauges

mine are bending because they are from 1994, and the counter weight is missing as i noticed it has rusted and sheared off them. some of the reasons im having trouble with shifts and poping out of gear.

if worse comes to worse i believe jegs or summit sells weld in baffles. rather then 300.00 for a pan. might be under 30.00 for the baffles. you could do that too.

              banged up it will get.

wet sump is pretty much what we honda owners run stock, deep oil pan holding 4-5 qts of oil and a pick-up to suck the oil in with the pump.

the wet sump design is entirely unsuitable for a racing application, for example, as the large g force pulled by drivers going around corners causes the oil in the pan to slosh, starving the system of oil for a small period of time. This can damage the engine. In a wet sump, turning, braking and acceleration can cause the oil to pool on one side of the engine. This sloshing can dip the crankshaft into the oil as it turns or uncover the pump's pick-up tube. some say this method causes los of hp also.

then theres dry sump, extra oil is stored in a tank outside the engine rather than in the oil pan. There are at least two oil pumps in a dry sump -- one pulls oil from the sump and sends it to the tank, and the other takes oil from the tank and sends it to lubricate the engine. The minimum amount of oil possible remains in the engine. and this method free's up hp loss.so they say. and another addvantage is this way you can use a pan that sits as close to the engine as possible and wont get damaged. but its alot of added weight too.

I mean the wet sump systems that use a single stage remote pump...I could mount one where the a/c compressor goes (or something along those lines)

wet sump pans are baffled to hold the oil where the pickup is

I know crankcase vacuum is a plus w/the dry sump systems but from what I've read B-series cranks don't splash (I *think* the old D16 is the same way, but I'll find out for sure when I take the pan off) so airation might not even be an issue...plus its not a full race motor (I can't justify spending $2k+ for the dry sump setup)

How are those OBX Pans? I was looking at them a few Weeks ago. Seem decently priced. I know I plan on running an OBX LSD but I'm going to do that rebuild to it thats posted on Honda-Tech.

Chris, that Moroso Pan from Cisco's was it Steel or aluminum?

i looked at the wet sump baffled pans/setups, but didnt feel the need for one since i myself dont have a race duty engine. i opted for the baffled only pan. besides im sticking to whats proven to work for the b-series. im not planning on any n1 enduro type racing anytime soon, which most of which wet sump system/w the use of an external pump are focused on pretty much.

chris pan is steel. the obx pan is an oem copy with baffles.

as for obx lsd's i wont buy anything that isnt race tested, go quaife/kazz or go home broke!

I've heard good things about the OBX LSD after you rebuild them with beter bolts. Plus for $300 you can't go wrong. Its either that or an OEM CTR LSD.
