You DO need a license in NH for boats and personal watercraft.

^^Unfortunately. And points against your boating license go against your drivers license- so driving without a boating license is not a great idea.

                        Luckily I have one lol

You have to take a class at the Department of Safety, or selected FD/PDs.. It's an 8 hour class, can be done in one day, or over the course of two nights. You can take it online, but they've bumped the price up to $30.

If you take the course in the classroom, it's $10 to register, until June 22nd...then it's $30. The current schedule link can be found: here.

If you think you'll ever use it (Besides this one day), I would recommend taking a class. You actually do learn a lot, and it makes the test a LOT easier. Otherwise, I'd say take it online. You can have the boating safety manual open in another window and can find all the answers.

The online exam can be found: here.

The one major disadtvantage to taking an online course is you STILL HAVE TO TAKE A WRITTEN TEST AT THE Department of Safety!
