my point was... it's a really common failure. I'd believe it before I thought the engine was blown.
go check it out. it'll run with a blown turbo. do a compression check, and bring some cash with you.
It'd likely need to be towed, though. mine smoked like hell when the gt17 went.

thats my thought, but im always on the side of caution. especially nowadays... i might check it out. if it only needs a turbo, then sweet. would be a pretty nice ride for a grand lol a new turbo is cheap and easy

Possibly... But id have to think a bit about it. I'm a sucker when it comes to them. This while no car thing sucks. Makes fixing a car difficult too since I can't go to the store if I need something haha

My mom has a 240 classic. Aside from being numbered, it's just a dl.
1300 isn't bad. You likely wont find a same color door or tailgate, so plan on A harlequin car.
It'll run forever, though. Parts are cheap and plentiful. It's gutless and clunky.

Do not touch the bertone(262). Prv6 cars are the devil. If you can find a later turbo4 powered *80 go for it. They're cool cars.
