2004 Gold Forester XT Bloush 20g, 5 speed , spun bearing . Approximately 110,000 miles

Cut and paste from last year

I just did kbb and says $9500 , good condition private party . 107,000 miles
Car has tow package

Auto trader has 3 for sale at 11,000 with 85-90,000 miles . Scupra just bought his for 12k I believe.

2 20g Foresters sold last year 1 for 13k, 1 for 14k

I put 4k in the car last year and just can't let of go that low .

I think that's everything , the car came from Alabama. Has 0 rust , only corrosion on bolt heads from the one winter with me. Everything comes apart so ez. I have all the original owners paperwork, oil changes all that stuff. Technically I'm the 3rd owner but the guy I bought it from only had it for 3k miles or so and like 6months or less.

Last week pulled everything off down to the heads and the ordered a bunch of stuff from Ballistic . So

All new gaskets
Deleted tgvs
Catch can
Perrin turbo inlet
Blouch 20g 8cm
Ngk one step colder plugs
Have 850cc injectors just waiting till my tune to install them.

This was the last day it was running, was getting tuned after engine rebuild. This was only the 2nd pull 225whp, final numbers before we shut it down was 265/275 and the tune was not complete. Was only 18lbs also , with rebuilt motor the car should be good for 350 wheel area.

]Like to get $5,000 for the car as it sits, depending on what you do for parts and how much you build it figure $4,000 to get the car running . I had the motor disassembled and inspected for $500 a couple months ago.

He said :

Heads are junk
Cams are junk
One rod is junk
Crank is junk
Bearings are junk
Pistons have some scoring and should be replaced.

His estimate for his labor was $2300 . That included everything to complete assembly. Dynamic balance, hone , valve job, planing the heads, cleaning and disassembly of another set of heads, setting valve lash .

You pick up all parts , gaskets . You could fix the car for cheaper but I just say 4k for the high side with built motor that will be good for more then the trani can handle.

Oh... Almost forgot. When I pulled the motor this last time I noticed a couple nicks on the impeller.. no clue what its from. I currently have the turbo all packed up and ready to ship out to be inspected and rebuilt if needed. They say you should never reuse a turbo that has been on a motor with a spun bearing and this has been on it for 2 so it should be rebuilt anyway. It's a $1,400 turbo , its around $400 to rebuild, personally for me its an excuse to upgrade to the billit wheel. I will unpack it and take pictures, still has no shaft play ruffly 3k on the turbo.

I am interested in trades for RUNNING cars only of similar value. I have NO MONEY to put on top. Running of lesser value Plus money is good also. German cars are preferred AWD a plus.
