SOLD FS: 2008 Quick Silver Yamaha R6

    Name: John Sann
    Location: Lowell, MA
Contact: Via PM or Email (john_sann@yahoo.com)

    2008 Yamaha R6
    Liquid Silver
    VIN: JYARJ16E48A000808
    Mileage: 12,835
    Asking Price: $5,895.00 o.b.o

Includes a ICON Mesh Textile Black Jacket in medium (only wore it twice) and a Scorpion EVO Helmet in medium with smoked visor or ICON helmet in silver with smoked visor.

    Ownership Bio:

I purchased the bike on 10/2010 from Parkway Cycles in Everett, Ma. I was informed by them that I am the second owner of the vehicle which was verified by Specialty Reports, Inc. At the time of purchase the bike had 6,193 miles and currently has 12,835 miles. Most of the mileage was put on during the first year, riding between Massachusetts and up to New Hampshire every weekend. At the time of purchase there were a great amount of cosmetic blemishes, including a cracked rear tail fairing; lower and upper, major scratches on the fuel tank. The first thing I did was purchased replacement rear tail fairings and refinished the fuel tank.

The bike was dropped/tipped over one. The bike was parked on my driveway when my niece had tipped it over on the right side (brake side). However, as far as the first owner it looks like it may have been dropped on the left side also or a possible low speed slide. Which was probably the cause of the cracked rear tail fairing.

This is not a 100% perfect bike, there are some small blemishes and imperfection which I will try to document with photos, the best as I can.

I took great care of the bike, with maintenance performed at a local speed shop, DAS Performance in Dracut, MA. The bike recently passed state inspection with flying colors.

    Reason for selling:

Many reasons… One of which involved being recently unemployed and secondly I rarely ride it anymore. I have only driven the bike a total of 4 times this season despite the warmest season since I have started riding (2010).

    Minor Modifications:

Sher-moto Folding Brake/Clutch Levers : They were originally Anodized Black but they have faded into a dark brown color.

Two Brothers Slip on Carbon Fiber Exhaust

    Smoked Taillight

Fender Eliminator with LED Signal (I still need to install them)

    Proton Flushed Signal

    Orbital Clear Tank Pad

Onto the damages. Most are hardly visible within a 4 feet distance

Has the bike been driven since the latest accident? The damage near the sprocket and brake make me nervous that the bike might not be safe to ride without repairs. I know that the fenders/outside appearance covers are pretty expensive to replace. If you still have this in a few months or so I may be very interested. But if you are firm on the current price than I'm probably out of the runnings for this.

The scrape on the swing arm, near the rear sprocket was from the first owner. The accidents occurred maybe 4-5 months after my purchase, so yes I have been riding it since without zero problem.
