    SOLD 2009 Honda 1000RR

    Name: Ryan MacRae
    Location: Laconia, NH
    Contact: ryan@vikingphoto.com

    I have a showroom condition 2009 Honda 1000RR, presently it has ~600 original miles...yep that's right.

I purchased the bike brand new as a leftover, took it from HK to Lake City Autobody where we tore it down, painted and powder coated just about everything and added a few goodies. Bike has NEVER been down, not on the street, not in my driveway, not in the garage; I have the photos to prove the paint was on a factory fresh bike as well for anyone who is concerned about that aspect.

    Mods are the following;

    ASV levers
    FP Racing rear caliper reloactor
    HEL Brake lines
Custom matching front and rear seats with gel inserts
    Matching rear cowl
Taylor Made Racing exhaust and CF lower fairing
    Taylor Made Racing undertail
    Stomp Grip tank pads
    Double bubble wind screen

Im probably forgetting a few minor things, but these are the important ones. Bike has stock gearing, stock motor and tuning, exhaust was the only “performance” modification made. This bike was babied all of its life; I’ve generally had at least 2 bikes in the garage and this was defiantly the “trailer queen”. Datsunpilot can vouch for the condition of the bike, and will probably attest that while he’s seen me blow some tires; this one has never come out during those wild nights!

I know that 90% + of are professional photographers, so Ill apologize in advance. I’m away from home and these pictures are all I have right now. I do, however, promise to take some “professional” pictures with my DSLR (which I know how to point and shoot), when I get home.

I’m looking to get $10,000 for the bike clean retail is $9,500 and while I understand mods don’t always net you more; I think this bike will be found tasteful by just about everyone. I will also entertain trades; cash is great, but it’s just going towards another toy anyway. If your have something to trade, lets hear it; I don’t want any junk and I don’t want anything else with 2 wheels. What I’m really looking for is a Forester XT 5mt or WRX wagon; body condition and mileage don’t really matter, but a mechanically sound car is preferred. Im in no rush or need to sell or trade, so please don't lowball.

        Thanks for updating it.

Motor spun a bearing.. again. Sent the motor to the machine shop. $500 to tell me its pretty much junk. Needs heads, cams , pistons, a rod , crank, bearings . Got a quote of $2,300 for all the work at the machine shop. That includes balancing, honing , disassembling and cleaning used heads , valve job, lash set and complete assembly of the motor. You supply New pistons, rods, heads, cams , gasket kit, bearings.

Depending on what you buy your looking at $3,500-$4,000 to get it going. Car books for $9,500 , I'd like $5,000 as it sits.

Not really looking for a trade that I would need cash on top. Was joking really.
