Cool, looks like we've got $20 more than we need now. I'll be by to collect everyone's money shortly. I'll start with Andrew.

also, will you be warrantying the sale? if someone buys it and installs it only to find out theres a noise or some major problem, would you refund the money?

Its an interference motor, if the crank was moved without moving the cams as well then the valves probably got bent. All of the above questions are valid and we are awaiting answers from the OP....

^^ yup, what Shawn said .

I have come across the money for this motor and am very interested but would like the questions above ansewered. Also a couple more.

How long ago was this motor pulled?
How has it been stored? Is it inside/outside , covered, still oil in it? (Can't tell if the pan is still on )

Most importantly, can you find out why the owner of the car got the insurance to swap the motor? What did he say to convince them or what the body shop did to convince them that a new motor and turbo was needed.

Personally I can understand why someone would want to have the motor in there car that they know about with 50k on it , that has no problems swapped for a "used" motor from accross the country . That's the biggest thing that concerns me , if it was replaced for a "new " motor it would make more sense to me.

I'm sorry for all the questions but I just need to be sure this is a good gamble. I am borrowing the money and need this motor to be able to be just dropped in and go. I have no running car right now , my girls car has no heat and just blew the alternator. We have been borrowing my dads car to be able to drive my daughter around but with cold weather here I kind of stuck at home all day untill my girl gets home from work.

Not trying to give you a sob story, just trying to explain why the questions are important and why the people on this forum are willing to donate the money and are trying.to help me get this motor in my car.

That's too bad. If we had gotten all the necessary information, Shawn probably would have come with cash and taken it that day.

I dont know any information like I stated...all I know is the car was hit in front...body shop repaired front end..and something happened with the insurance company and either the body shop or the person who owned it. I know radiator and other stuff were replaced (not here) and then we were told to replace engine. We drove the car from body shop to here (20 min) and for whatever reason replaced the engine. Engine was already being shipped and we just did labor. Not sure why reason was but thats what I know. If i knew more I would tell you. Wouldnt be worth my while to screw someone on a forum that I belong to and give myself a bad name. Money isnt worth that to me. Wish i could tell you more.
