Description: Once upon a time, I got a 10LB box of tannerite. It has 20, 1/2 lb cases of this. I had planned on grabbing a .223 hunting rifle, but never actually did.. go figure.
So I'm as we all know, in desperate need to make money to fix my car.

This stuff is pretty cool. With a center fire rifle, .223 caliber or larger, shoot this and it explodes equal to I'd say a 1/4 stick.. It's pretty awesome. I just, have no use for it at the time being.

Those things make a hell of a boom. A local blew one off and we got 3 calls at the fire dept for a large explosion that rattled windows in an 1/8 mile radius.

I can only imagine how nasty the larger ones are.

Yea, most ranges don't allow them. Londonderry does though.

Tannerite Use: only be permitted in containers up to one-half (1/2) pound-quantities as provided by the manufacturer. No Tannerite shall be used on the Skeet/Trap Range

And yeah, the Londonderry range allows it, but no bigger than 1/2 pound per container. 1 pound is one HELL of a boom. You'll feel it in your chest hard, at 100 yards.
Edit: I only know of the 1 pound, because the range operator was there on my orientation, and allowed a group of guys to shoot at it. It was awesome.

One went off during my orientation, first and only time I have heard one. It was almost like it was planned. He was talking about what was and wasn't allowed on the range and BOOM! .

I have no doubt he'll bring you to the range. If it's his membership, he is allowed up to 3 guests at a time. And you would wanna bring some tin foil, I've watched guys split 1/2 pound into 3 things of tin foil, it's still pretty damn loud, and a BLAST to shoot. I was having fun merely watching.
