    SOLD AR500 Rifle Plates

    Miscellaneous Items for Sale
    Name: Matt S.
    Selling: AR500 Rifle Plates
    New/Used New
    Price: See below
    Location (City, State): N. Berwick
    Means of Contact: PM
    Description:
I am selling the remainder of what I could cut out of the sheet from the group buy. This is AR500 steel and the gongs are plasma cut using water to keep the cut cool.

This plate is good for high power rifles with the general rule of thumb of 3000 FPS at no less than 100 yards. For rounds such at 300 win mag, 338 lapua, and such, this will not be adequate and I can not say it will hold up. Use at your own risk.

Other notes, the use of any type of steel core ammo (AP, Penetrator, etc) will at the very least chip the face, and at worse put holes into the steel.

All plates will be cleaned up better than the photo, but will not be painted.

I have some left, I can probably get two plates out if you give me dimensions. It was way to hot yesterday to burn up the whole piece.

If you go to Londonderry rifle club, they allow plates. I just sold a heavy duty swinger to someone from that club last month, and someone else is using these plates on the pistol ranges with a homemade stand using bicycle tire hooks.

I was told they don't allow them due to spalling, there was concern that it would hit a nearby house. It seemed like a total fudd rule/idea.

Here is a picture from Londonderry on what I am guessing is the pistol range. I have only been on the rifle range when I dropped off my custom swinger. The gentlemen that bought it said it was ok as long as it was close to the berm (He asked at a meeting). While we were there some other folks had a smaller swinger set up. I would say you are good to go, unless someone is looking for a reason to give you #!#!#!#!.

I just joined I I am pretty sure they said you could use them. It just needs to be set up on the berm or on a horse. Not in the grass half way down . Something like that .

They mentioned spinning targets and dueling targets and if they break on the range to please not leave them down range. Cause they don't want to hit them with the lawnmower .
You ain't got no chance to beat it..like a man with no hands and a one inccchhhh .
