        Really thin metal-silver paint
        Thicker panels black paint
        Average thickness soft red paint...

            That's a bummer , I was thinking of trying it on my dads car. I hit a trashcan last week and dented the fender.

                  Yeah, but I used a can of air (duster) to get it cold. Pulled out the dent quite a bit but its still visible when seen at a certain angle. Probably will work for larger dents with no sharp edges better. If you have anything like that a PDR tech would probably be your best bet to get it fixed.

                  You have to be careful with the paint. Specifically if its been repainted and there's filler underneath.
