    Crankcase pressure control

Good article on oil/air control. I know some of y'all honkiez were having issues or maybe will need to read. Good for anyone with a modified engine.

Controlling pressure inside your engine's crankcase can yield a significant increase in horsepower. This goes hand in hand with properly controlling your oil system. How much power and how you set things up are also tied together and will depend on your engine's particular setup.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. We see so many cars come through here with plugged valve covers, stock PCV or 3/8" vacuum line pretending to be a proper catch can setup. They wonder why it smokes or doesn't make power but don't want to go above and beyond to set it up properly.

Speaking of that, maybe something to add to your website and the forum? List of 'must-have's' before you come to dyno. No leaks, no junk clutches, etc. I know I've seen that from a few tuners before cuz so many people waste your time with that junk.

Very goo read, smog pump driven in reverse can be a very cheap alternative, it may not produce much vacuum but more than not, makes me want dry sump on the dime

Moroso got some new designs/attachments up if anybody is in the market. They're relatively cheap simple setups that will work on basically any car outside of an overly boosted monst3r.

Really thinking about dropping four bills on this but am looking for a cheaper option:

To prevent crankcase oil fumes from condensing and filling your turbo piping, intercooler, and intake manifold, a catch can is a must for your 2.0T FSI engine. A catch can works well to catch all of the oil fumes that are omitted from the valve cover breather, removing the faulty factory oil separator in the process.

The OEM PCV has a check valve that dumps into the IM or the turbo inlet depending on if you are in boost or not. This bypasses the intake manifold and plugs that port, and then filters all teh blowby through the catch can before dumping to a port on the turbo inlet.

Dunno if its worth while, I have increased boost from the factory 12psi to 23psi (Soon to be ~26) so its likely I am seeing more blowby.

worthwhile, yes. pay that much for a kit to do it? don't have to, no. you can get cheaper options through jegs or summit or a mishimoto or similar kit from one of the sponsors for much cheaper than that kit.

I need to re do my lines for my catch can. Had to replace the OEM lines last minute because the turbo inlet being big and got regular 5/8 hose. Oil is eating through hose cause its not rated for oil but I new I was going to have to.
