    NH Inspection Laws

I've referenced this document several times for people on here with inspection questions. I figured I'd post it up here for everyone's reference...

This is what all NH inspection stations use to pass or fail a vehicle during a NH State Inspection.

If you ever have any questions or need clarification on the laws, I've found the boys over at the NH State Police, Troop G to be very helpful. They are the ones responsible for enforcing and clarifying these laws. They can be reached at (603) 223-8778.

True but within reason. Mechanic's discretion doesn't give the tech the ability to pass or fail for any reason they want. It has to be justified. The laws are pretty black and white in what they list for defects. It's where it says things like "any other condition that affects the safe operation of the vehicle" that mechanic's discretion comes into play.
