I see that there are different "weight" clay bars out there (light, medium, heavy). When do you and don't you use each of them?Owner - Fully Assed Graphics

Ok, so I picked up the foam gun, chemical guys maxi suds II, a grit guard, a couple new wash mits, and a new microfiber towel for drying. Also grabbed a bar of chemical guys medium clay, and the 16ox spray bottle of adam's detailing spray.
Yesterday I did my first 2-bucket wash and got to try this stuff out. I thought I would use a ton of the foam stuff, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I did find that the detail spray goes quick when claybarring. I have about 1/4 of the bottle left. I can see I'll be ordering the gallon refill before next time.Owner - Fully Assed Graphics

Looks like you're off to a good start.
I use Maxi Suds II in a foam lance for pressure washer.
2 Bucket wash method with a grit guard in each bucket. Meg's gold class for bucket soap.
Also use those funky looking microfiber mitts.
Garry Dean's ultimate use detail juice. 8oz bottle is $30 but makes about 3 gallons of detail spray. Can also be used for a rinseless wash.
I've been getting clay magic clay from amazon since its the best bang for the buck ive been able to find.
Wheel and tires get the megs treatment as well. Non-acid wheel and tire cleaner from their detailers line. The Megs all wheel cleaner otc bottle has a nice foaming tip that works great with this.
Always use a dedicated wheel bucket just for wheels. A grit guard in the wheel bucket help with scrubbing the brushes clean for really dirty wheels. Wheel bucket gets a little gold class and water to help keep the wheels sudsy.
All the microfibers i use come from theragcompany.com Junkman turned me on to these.
The eagle edgeless, waffle weave, and Everest 800 are awesome towels.
Lately ive been practicing with megs m105 compound and m205 polish on a harbor freight DA. I'm happy with the results so far.
Recently switched from Megs M26 hi-tech yellow wax to Collinite 845. The m26 didnt last more than a week or 2 in the summer heat so im hoping i'll get some longer lasting protection from the collinite.
Thats my $.02Comment

I love detailing cars ...there nothing like putting some sweat and elbow grease into something you love(think about that for a sec :-p) but I've used for the past 5 years all Meguiar's nXt tech wax and tire shine and used Meguiar's ultimate quik detailer to keep the shine up and I've never had any issues with the products and I probably wax it 3 times during the summer and just go through touch less car wash about 2 times a month or more (depending on weather) and use the quik wax anytime it gets dusty and tire shine after each washComment
