Nope. Haven't driven anything this week aside from the 2010 WRX on Sunday. I'm still searching for the 'right' WRX. The Saab looks nice, but I still want a wagon... I'm looking at an '07 rex wagon on Saturday.

Just came across a V50 T5 AWD 6-speed with the right options and the right color interior/trim. Higher mileage than I'd like (97k), but I might have to make an exception for this one as it looks nice and seems to have been well cared-for. Could be a winner!

I emailed the seller as soon as I found it. It's 2 years newer than the one at Dalzell with a $3500 cheaper asking price, has the black interior, a moonroof, two sets of wheels/tires (stock with nearly-new all-seasons and steelies with snows), premium package and climate package (pretty much every option excluding nav, which I don't care about), 2 owners (second one bought it CPO at 48k), all service records included...

I really hope I'm first in line.

Edit - I wonder if the Team Dynamics for my SHO will fit on this. Hmmm

Wheels. Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2

The SHO and Volvo are both 5x108. Not sure about hub diameter or offset though. I know some Volvo wheels will fit the Taurus, so there's hope at least. I have a barely-used set of Hankook Ventus V12s on the TDs. Haven't gotten any work done on the SHO in ages, so I might as well put the tires to use on something else before they degrade.

Volvo is tentatively sold already. #!#!#!#! my life. My only hope now is that the buyer can't get the finances together. I should find out later today.

If the doesn't work out, next up is a Saabaru in Woodstock VT. High miles on the body (158k), but it received a new trans at 48k, and the engine/clutch/turbo were all replaced with new stuff 14k miles ago.

why not offer more than the asking price?
People do it with houses...and if it's under-priced, there's always room

I'm not comfortable making an offer sight-unseen. And it's not underpriced to begin with, actually a little above book values (KBB, Edmunds and NADA). I would call it reasonable. Dalzell on the other hand is asking wayyyy more than all the book values for their 6-speed.

I found another one at a dealer in NH. Just got off the phone with them actually. I'm going to check it out tomorrow morning.

I checked it out today. I wasn't able to take a proper test drive yet due to some issue with plates, but I put a deposit on it anyway. It's the right color and has the right options, so I had to make sure nobody bought it out from under me.

It did have a couple issues - needs front struts and has a CEL for a misfire. There were a few dings as well. After some negotiations, they agreed to replace the struts and to bring it to Volvo to get it running right for me. Should be able to take it for a spin and make a final decision in 3-4 days. I'm on my own for the body work, but I'm not too worried about it. This is the only one I've found in this color.

You can see the rear door on this side is a little wavy:

Glad to hear. Misfire is usually a bad coil or wrong gap. Either way it's a quick fix. Was it actually misfiring or just had the cel?

I'm sure you'll love it. Volvo and saab both have awesome interior. That t5 engine is so much fun, too. Open up that exhaust, and you'll be in love. I've never been so happy with an exhaust as when I went WOT in the yellow car.
