Useful automotive Apps for your phone.

    ]Torque https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...g.prowl.torque

In a previous thread I mentioned Torque which uses a Bluetooth obdll port to monitor your engine and check codes. Previous thread

    Mileage https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...arlton.mileage

I have been useing a app to watch my gas mileage and it also calculates how much you spend as well as some other things. Well it also let's you know of service intervals.... Sort of. I found it only informs you by ringing and that's it. Nothing on.the.screen no notification just beeps. So if you missed it.. your out of luck.

    Service Maintenance https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ChangeSchedule

So last night I downloaded Service Maintenance has everything from timing belt service to windshield wipers. And it gives you a count down of time and miles till your next service . Seems like a much better app. It also has gas mileage so I spent a few min transferring all my entries from Mileage to SM.

That being said, I wouldn't say Mileage is a bad app . It does give you a lot more info about your mileage, more break down of It gives you average/minimum/maximum of all your info SM just give you the average. And I like that it has a "i missed my last fill up" option. That way it.doesn't use that info and throw off your averages. So that matched the the much better Service interval settings makes me choose SM.

    Engine monitoring/code readers

    Torque
    The Dash Boss (Iphone only)

    MPG/service intervals

    Mileage
    Service Maintenance

    Auto parts/stores

    AutoZone
    Advanced Auto

    GPS APPs

    Waze - Thread

    ...

If anyone uses any other apps that are car related or maybe not ment to be but is useful in the car. Post.them up and ill add then to the list.

I have used Mileage in the past but I have trouble keeping up with it. lol. I installed it last week and logged my first fillup but haven't had to get gas yet.

I have Torque, but I'm waiting for my dongle to get here. It seems like a kick ass app

I have the same issue with adding my mileage. Hence why I like that the SM has "missed last fillup" as "partial fill up" .

Which Dongle did you order for TQ , I still need to order mine.

I was actually going to send it to you and then I decided I'd just make a thread.

One downside is that the lite version only allows one car, have to go pro for multiple vehicle entry. Another good thing is the ability to backup your data, but I think you have to go pro if you want to import that data. Which seems lame..lol

One thing I didn't find out until after I transfered all my oil fill ups. In the settings you can change the gas option to default 93 . Wish I saw that earlier.

Moved most of the Tq and obd2 talk to the Bluetooth obd2 thread.
