    Infiniti/ Nissan News

This makes me ..... big time... official goodbye to the skyline... car is ugly as sin too..

What is Nissan thinking getting rid of manual transmissions? The G line is turning into this.. HOPEFULLY the coupe model will retain the 6-speed and maybe they'll make it more unique and retain the skyline double-ring tail lights...

UK tuner company now selling their version of the US Rogue with full GT-R trim and a cage, anything from stock to over 1000hp. $288k for the stock 542hp version, crazy.

Extremely #!#!#!#!ing awesome, but I could think of at least 100 other cars I would spend that money on. This thing won't pull an 1/8 of the pussy as a Lambo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lambo...c1cc8e&vxp=mtr

Sadly Nissan/Infiniti IMHO is starting to lose its way(again, like Mitsubishi). You can't even get a manual on the Sentra anymore. Only the Versa,Z,Cube,Frontier and Juke. Maybe we'll either have to start shopping older, used vehicles or go Korean.

At least they haven't killed my G coupe or the Z's... yet... but ya, the current manufacturing trend is taking them full sweep I'm afraid..

NISMO GTR did awesome around nurburgring though...

Some updates for Fuji mountain motors and the corporate big brother..

Talked with a representative at the BIAS.. Further explained/confirmed the rebadging of all the Infiniti's.
Turns out, ALL Infiniti products will begin with the letter Q. SUV's beginning with QX. Rather than the number representing liter size of the engine(as they've always done) it will represents the cars "status" within the hierarchy of Infiniti. The new "M" will turn into a Q car also. Probably as a Q40-Q50(G35 sedan). The G35 coupe is finally separating from its sedan counterpart as the Q60 and so on..

Kinda interesting and a decent marketing strategy I think.. For now it seems like it could still go either way on how long a stick and actual feedback in the steering will exist in the coupes. The sedan is already completely electric(aside from a mechanical linkage for safety..)

Nissan.. Once again breaking the mold in the racing circuit.. they popped out the deltawing which was obviously unique. Now they've done it again with the heart of their ZEOD RC.

                              Basic specs:
                              1.5L 3 cylinder
                              400hp
                              280lb/ft
And it only weighs 88 lbs!

Looking at the design they obviously incorporated certain things together oil pan/lower crankcase/ main bearings etc.

Cool little thing.. Would be sweet to have in my Justy.. lol

It's cliche to say "Good things come in small packages," but that's absolutely true in the world of racing, where teams strive to make cars and their components as small and light as possible to save weight. Judging by the size of their new Le Mans engine, it looks like Nissan succeeded.
