Thanks I really appreciate it. I got very lucky to have some nice equipment at work. Two years ago I had never touched a welder. I actually learned to TIG first and just tried MIGing about 3 months ago for the first time. Holy easy. I'm still learning all the time though.

I'm down whenever you are. I have access to a machine shop and we have a good amount of fab tools so I could make whatever you are thinking of from scratch or you could have it ready to go and I could just weld it. Obviously the second option would be faster. I only can stay after work for about an hour to work on things so sometimes it a 3 to 5 day ordeal.

Can you get good deals on the KF flanges? Im trying to make everything in my bay vband, even the coolant lines. I have a couple smaller KF flanges but I will need more eventually.

If it's not a lot and 50,40,25 or 18 then yes. They are all over my work I feel like Scrooge McDuck swimming in them.

I pretty much only need one aluminum kf25. If you had a kf40 as well in Al that would be even better. The idea is to mate the stainless flange/lines to the aluminum flange/radiator. I put it aside for now cause I can't finish it myself but I am running into overheating under extended boost so its time to upgrade the radiator, albeit marginal like 5-7 degree C I just dont like seeing my coolant indicator move, ever.

Al might be a problem. We have mostly SS and Cu flanges. If you want a bigger radiator all the power to you but a good coolant mix (70% distilled water 30% antifreeze) with a bottle of water wetter and some ducting and sealing of the rad can work wonders. A lot of people rip out the factory ducts when they do a front mount and that's a double whammy to the efficiency of the heat exchanger.

For two flanges on a rad say a $20 bill and a 6 pack of good beer.

Funny side note: Your coolant temperature actually varies a LOT during normal operation, like 20-30 degrees. Most factory gauges are more like idiot lights or at least VERY delayed so you don't see this. 98 Camaro's actually came with a dead accurate coolant temp gauge but the next year went to a delay design because they had so many owners coming to the dealership thinking something was wrong with their car because the gauge moved around so much.

I am familiar with the inaccuracies of gauges...I drive Fords haha..the gauges (especially tach is useless) Its so far off and their is so much smoothing and delays it's barely a tach. The smoothing is really on the ecu's output signal though from what I find, usually... when I drove the factory (Ford) tach with my AEM cdi's tach signal it is crazy accurate and fast.

However on my Audi the temp gauge is surprisingly dead on....I am getting my actual temp readings from Tunerstudio and datalogs, though....the car is megasquirted I know its not gonna hurt it if I boost it into 225* occasionally but I am building an engine for it soon and want everything to be absolutely perfect before hand. No matter what I did before I never bumped the coolant temp but now boosting well over 20 it's starting to rise and I just want to nip it in the butt.

Well that sounds like a deal on the labor....I figured the Al might be a problem because everyone seems to use the SS kf's. I believe they do make them I will just have to source them online. Ill give you a shout when I have it all ready.

And yeah...I am 99% sure engineers dumb every gauge down because people complain about stupid stuff like "unstable idle" even when its rock solid.

I've got two KF50 flanges in AL. Dats it.
