In the wrapped photos, the car looks like it has VW jetta/CC tail lights, and a Euro ford escort headlights.

I do like the new cars coming from Germany. Mom's picking up a C300 sport in the next month or so, and the new gen BMWs are all beautiful. Audi's even got my attention, minus the a7.

The fuel pump is Mechanical .It is only fed with a electric pump . A electric pump looses flow when you increase the pressure . Mechanicly driven pumps are not current limited. I have used VW parts to mod a Mazda speed pump. I will have to see what type of pump the BMW uses.

Pretty sure they are all mechanical but without the electronic or engine driven pump portion it doesnt matter. BMWs HPFP is electronically driven vs say Audis cam driven mechanical version of a HPFP. They both have down falls - BMWs electronics fail - Audis cam followers wear out. Id rather replace a pump then engine internals. BMW went with higher engine efficiency vs an engine run pump or pulley (which in my mind the reliability is worth the slight power loss)
If youre trying to say you can figure out another manufactures pump that would work - this is possible but its not going to be anything short of an expensive engine driven HPFP or fabbing a cam follower or something to run it mechanically - its a tall order to accomplish. The pump is the core of the problem is all I was saying with making more power. Correct the electronic systems loose flow and thats the problem. Just like with the mazda there are limitations and stage 2 requires upgraded pumps.
An option might be something along the lines of a mechanical engine run diesel pump like that of a CP3 pump on a common rail Cummins that is making over 30k psi!

???? In the automotive world Mechanical is engine driven / and electrical is electrical driven. I know you are calling them both mechanical because they have moving parts. But you are just confusing the situation. The internet has enough BS

Ok I am coming with you. I was confused as to what you were saying sorry. At no point did I not think you were on the right page just didnt think you were on my page. It will be nice when someone makes that upgrade but its gonna be big bucks

2012BMW3Series (F30) USOrdering Guide Is In! MSportAvailable July 2012

The 2012 3-series sedan product planning and strategy bulletin and ordering guide has been released (scans below). The full ordering guide and pricing will be available at a later time. Official info, specs, and media on the F30 3 series can be found at our Official F30 Info Thread

F30 retail sales will begin in the US on February 11, 2012 (as well as worldwide). The first two months of production will be used to produce dealer's initial stock - two 328i and one 335i. Here's a breakdown of the ordering info available so far:



STANDARD EQUIPMENT on both 328i and 335i sedan will include:

8 speed auto transmission (6 speed manual is a no charge option)
6.5" color display with iDrive controller

One inch wheel upgrade (17" standard on 328i and 18" standard on 335i)

Doesn't get much better then this but if I had that kind of money I think I would only have one of those. They are all great but only one I really want, I used o drive by BMW almost every day just to stare at a black with red interior.
