Drive Shaft Work

Any suggestions for drive shaft work?? Id prefer some place in NH, but something relatively local will be OK too (MA, RI, etc.). I think if I end up having to ship them out they will go to the driveshaft shop. Going to need 3" taken off the rear shaft and 3" added to the front shaft when we convert the SS from the 4L70E in it right now to the 4L80E.

I've used Gilbert's in Manchester and had great luck for custom shafts

not sure, but if it was me I'd just have a new custom shaft made from somebody like DSS with the kind of power you're gonna be throwing at it, especially since they can balance test it too.

Another vote for Gilberts. Bruce is the man when it comes to any driveshaft. They balance them as well.

I've thought about it, but thats another 1K+ in custom drive shafts - and to be totally honest there isn't any reason a stock shaft, in good shape with solid joints and properly balanced shouldn't hold this power.

gilberts, i think Johns shafts is right across the street, he used to work for gilberts
