    Rocker Panel Work

I am interested in buying this car which is a 91 Sentra SER with rusted rocker panels. I was told by the current owner they could be replaced but I have trouble finding the parts to replace them due to the age of the car.

I would like your opinion if you recommend getting a car like this and an estimate of how much it would cost to repair something like this if I were to take it to you. Now, I do understand they are just pictures and looking at them in person would be better but these are all I have of them by the current owner. If you could try your best that would be great.

I would gladly appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I'd avoid that. Lol. That could be costly

This ^ thats pretty bad. Unless the price is really low and you can make up for it with the repair

That's the only noticeable spot that's rusted out. Have a mechanic put it on a lift and see what else it would need to make it pass inspection. A $450 price tag may look nice now but the other $1600 to fix it may sting a little later on

Thanks for the input guys. The owner is selling the car for $900. The rest of the car is in fairly good condition considering its 21 years old. I was thinking the same...I usually don't like to deal with cars with rust PERIOD but thought I'd ask someone who has more experience in this.

if you're buying it to just be a winter beater, i'd offer less, and just drive it the way it is.. the whole car will rot out before the sr goes.

Yeah..mainly just a winter beater but i would probably eventually mod it because I tend to not keep cars the way they are for too long. I love the classic B13 SER's but their so damn hard to come by around here. I'm willing to travel out of state for one. When I do find one...they are asking for too much.

i'd buy this one, but it's not a winter beater (considering the shape of it).. i really want a clean b13 too keep in storage.. one of my all time favorite cars.. so much fun even when they are bone stock..

                    I don't see the problem ??

FYI guys this is in a vendor section, he asked the vendor for there opinion/ estimate , if he wanted the opinion for the forum it should be in general or maybe tech questions.

I can move it to general if you would like or you could make another one.

At first, I was asking the vendor for their opinion and only expected a response from the vendor. The fact that other members commented, I wanted to comment that I appreciate other feedbacks as well.

You may move it if you wish but intended to just get the vendor's opinion. I'm all set though and vendor has fulfilled my inquiry.
