    My Custom Autobody work thread

I went over to Chester today and met with Scott from Custom Autobody and had him take a look at my Cobalt. I spent over an hour at the shop, talking shop, going over my plans for the car, and getting an impression of Scott's work.

Scott's shop is clean, bright, and very functional. First impressions of Scott are that he's a craftsman who takes pride in his work and is more than capable of handling any paint project I could throw at him.

In the next month, I'm having my door panels cleaned up and repainted correctly, and having my dash trim, door switch bezels, and center console all painted.

After that, there is exterior paint work that I would like to do, but that will depend on my budget and timing.

Over the next few weeks I'll update this thread with some before, during, and after pics of my interior.

Anybody on the fence about working with Scott, from my impressions today, I would personally recommend him.

    Check back soon!

              Semir,

I'm not going to post prices because they can vary so much from based on materials.

I will say, that I'm satisfied with the material costs, and VERY satisfied with the labor rate.

We got all my paint supplies ordered today, and I'll be dropping off pieces to Scott at the end of the week to get started. I'll take some "before" pics tomorrow and get them posted up.

                        Dag,

The Grand Am looks good all finished!

I'm excited to see my stuff finished. I spent a couple hours with Scott talking while we pulled stuff apart. I don't know if he enjoyed the company or was just being polite, lol, but I have no doubt the work is going to be done right and be awesome.

Hi steve I enjoyed your company friday its easy to be polite talking cars. At your next visit we can discuss politics. We can discuss how we can lower the gas prices. Wait til I get going on that. I look forward to talking again. Scott.

Scott is actually further along than this, but I haven't gone over to take pics in a couple of days.
