its a rabbit with gettin its knob jacked, its not scary the car doesnt weigh much, we figured rather than pick it up by hand and risk tetanus we'd jack it, helium in the tires almost made the jack useless

Gorcha.. didnt catch the humor online.

Yeah it happens a lot with the older cars in new england. Mine are completly folded flat in the better spots, and in the wrost spot behind the drivers door, I literally have a 6" hole where structural material used to be.

Whatever.. the chassis still handles the pwoer of a small block so they cant be THAT important right lol

I got the car back on jack stands now..lol doing my oil change .. found I'm missing 2 oil pan bolts and a 3rd was more then half way out. Getting ready to call the zone and see if they have a pan gasket and bolts. If they do I'm going to drop the pan. Water pump is leaking too..

DAG , how long would it take you to get the piping for the exhaust?

really? you must be one of the geniuses that put cars on lifts with the posts on the pinch welds, huh?

those "frame rails" are actually the entire structural support of the forward chassis and are 100% the only really suitable jacking points short of the LCA's, Lower Radiator Support or dedicated lift plates.

Actually genius there are no true frame rails on unibody cars, I was the one suggesting using the rear axle or front subframe. Which are both much better.

That being said on different chassis there are different areas which have been reinforced and can be used. Like my Maxima has "frame rails" which are sufficienctly reinforced enough to be used, and my Rx7 has thick reinforcement by the mounting locations for the seatbelts and those can be used.

I said my pinch welds were shot.. not because I did it jackass. it was the genius from maine who hacked the #!#!#!#! out of the car before me, also holding most of the chassis wiring harness together with tape and bubble gum. Was a ****in FANTASTIC time cleaning up his mess.

If it's a rail, and part of the frame... It's a framerail... Unibody or body on frame. A rail is a rail a frame can be the whole car or just a ladder...

                                Think.
