Brand new cam gear, guy changed his build so he sold it for cheap, not the prettiest thing but i will machine it pretty this summer. This goes on first, then the walbro pump and then it's off to the dyno to get some good semi-baseline numbers, then the stage two cam goes in.

1993 Cadillac CST-V8 rear mount turbo, 12psi 10.56@123mph and burning up the ozone
    1995 Volvo 850 T5-R, 18psi with flashed ecu and bigger injectors, 315whp
1973 Chevy Nova with a Volvo B230FT and 4L60E, seriously different.
1994 Volvo 945, soon to be faster on 15psi

Sounds good. If you like different and fast though a chevy ls motor would fit those requirements better. I am sure most have already heard of the volvette.

You could get an iron block version of the LS motors for a fraction of the price too. A stock 5.3L truck block will handle about 600whp stock, and you can use the stock manifolds flipped around for perfectly reliable turbo manifolds and unlike most import motors you can use the factory sensors and PCM to control even boosted applications. People have used the stock modified harness and PCM up to 1000+whp reliably. If you wanted to make more than 600whp, its just rods, pistons, and and O-ring away from close to 1000whp, still on stock exhaust manifolds and stock PCM.

Just about the cheapest way to make 600whp I know of. Those 5.3s go for literally a $250-500 all day complete. This is what I'm planning on using for my next project.

the lq4 and the lq9 are the 6.0s I think the 5.3 is the LM7

The 6.0's are even better but they are nearly as expensive as the aluminum ls1s.

All of these motors are the same external dimensions and have the same mounts so you could put any in the volvo

Generation III Internal Engine - What is the Difference between the LM7 LM4 L33 L59 5.3L - Since there's a thread on whats the diff between the 6.0 I am here making one asking whats the diff between the 5.3L, I m planning on getting one of them, since they are dirt cheap. Some people told me not worth it, some said go...

The transmission will be more expensive. T56s unfortunately arent cheap you can bolt up some pretty cheap automatics. like the th350s and th400s

This is correct! 5.3 best bang for the buck. LQ4's/9's are over a grand most of the timne just like a LS1. You can buy three/four 5.3's for the price of one ls1
