got money! Need tires for the wife!

    Hi Gene!

I found out I'm getting a small settlement at the end of the month. My wife needs a new set of rubber on her 2010 Kia Forte sx sedan.

Right now she's got about 26,000 on the stock rubber and the wear bars are too close for comfort. She's only had the car for 15 months so she's averaging 1700 miles a month.

I believe the stock size is 215/45/17. I'd like an all season tire that will get her safely through this winter and still be good for the warm weather.

Ideally I would want them to last another 25-30k miles.

I would also like to be paying no more than $4-500 for the set.

So, like everybody else, I'm looking for the best possible tire at the cheapest possible price.... LOL.

I will be purchasing in the 1st or 2nd week of February.

    Thanks!

            Tim,

While I appreciate the offer, I am purposely patronizing Gene's business here in the Motostar Performance vendor section.

Gene helped out when my friends got me tires for my own personal car, and I want to repay that favor by giving him my business.

            Thanks though!

Sure thing, here are the option that I have which should fit the bill price wise and offer good traction as well.

                  Continental Pro Contact 87H BW - http://www.conti-online.com/generato...ontact_en.html
                  $128.00/tire. $512.00/set. In stock.

$117.00/tire. $468.00/set. In stock in my Maine warehouse, but I can transfer them down, I do need an add'l 24hrs to do that. This would be my choice personally, it is the newest version of the tire that we got for your car.

                  $87.00/tire. $348.00/set. In stock.

Lemme know if you have any questions or if you would like to place an order, everything is in stock unless otherwise noted. James and Sons would be a great choice for installations!

                    Tim,
No worries bud. What dealer do you work for, and would you be interested in doing some wheels and tires on vehicles this coming spring?

                      Thank you Gene.

Give me a couple weeks to get the check and I will 100% be placing an order.

What makes the Kumho's so much less expensive than the others?

That particular Kumho is aimed at the Tuner market, Kumho knows that not everyone has tons of money to spend on a quality tire, so they price them lower than some other brands. The extra $25.00 give card is a special that we are running for the end of Jan, beginning of Feb. We at Motostar like the Kumho Brand a lot, they have done very well thus far and we are looking forward to selling them more in the future.

I can vouch for the Fuzions! Have used them on my car, and although I don't have the power to do so - I spun those things all the time. They took a serious beating, and never had a problem with them until now where ONE won't stay balanced. It is borderline illegal depth, and was on the back of my car for 4 years. No cracks/dryrot, and still did great in the rain (until my motor blew O_O) (I rotated the legal-rears to the front when I bought two new tires for the rear. I put the new tires on the rear because my front struts are gone and I didn't want to ruin the new tires)

Anyways, I like the tread pattern, they did pretty good in the snow, and I've owned them for 4 years. Lasted ~55k.

If I had to buy new tires and I absolutely had to have an all season that was truly winter capable this would be the tire that I would pick. They are excellent in the rain as well, and a solid dry performer.

I sold a set of these to my buddy with that LGT wagon before he sold it. First thing he mentioned to me was that the oem rubber on his new ride(BMW 328 XDrive AWD) is no where near as capable as the Conti Extreme DWS's.
