    Civic Si HB,
I agree with the 245/35R18 size being the best choice for the proper sized non stretched tire. Tho for the fall I ran a 225/40R18 on the 18x8.5 rim and the stretch was minimal. You could also try a 235/40R18 to split the difference if after the test fit it looks like the 245 would be too wide. As I recall you car looked like it had a decent amount of room to begin with, but I think the best bet would be to do another test fit to see where we needed to be. Hopefully the fit is pretty good and the fender roll will give you that little bit of extra room necessary to clear without rubbing.

      Boosted Euro,
The stock width of the 16" wheel on the 04 Forester XT is 6.5. I have a customer in MA that specializes in Legacy GT's, and they often run the 235/40R18 tire size on the XXR 522's 18x8.5 without rolling the fenders on stock height, and with rolling on slightly lowered suspension. If at any time you need tire dimension calculations let me know and I will provide you guys with that info.

Hey Gene.. can I get a .price on the 521 and 522 in the +38 18x8.5 I believe that is about the right size for what I want .

here is how I want the wheels and tires to fit.

        THESE ARE -17”x9" Drag DR-31 et 38 ON A 04 forester

18x8.5 will be a little less aggressive but I was thinking I would rather play it safe with less "poke" and then run small spacers if I need to.

Me too... almost makes me want to do 17's instead but 18with a 45 will have almost the same rolling diameter as stock 16's on 65's. 1.? Difference. So speedo will be close.

                  Thank you Gene!

                  I think I'm leaning towards the 522 18x9.5 then I run a 225/45/18

Other question is color.. chrome black or flat black.. ?

Plan on rolling your fenders if it hasn't been done yet, you will need the room regardless of the wheel/tire combo you select. Will this car be lowered like the example picture you provided?

More then likely... I'm still working out the suspension options at the moment. Will be doing that before pulling the trigger on the wheels. Rolling of the fenders will be done, my buddy has a roller I can use.

                            A 9.5 rim should have a 255 - 275 mm tire.

225 will be hella vw stretch on a 9.5 and will be gayer than aids on a suby and rape handling and even straight line performance to a degree
