got excited when i saw the vyg wheels....i was thinking id grab some 16's for the fit for summer....until i saw the price...

i can get VOLKs or BBS for that price...are those prices correct? why are they so much? are they lightweight or what makes them so pricey? forged?

They are not knockoff . They are THREE PEICE WHEELS made to order in any size/color you like . Like HRE ..etc .

If you knew what Mackin paid for Volk you would puke . I had the price sheet and they forgot to cross out there pricing . a $800 wheel was like $300

Thanks for all the interest and support!!!

Yes these wheels are expensive, but they are hand made and delivered directly to you with your exacting specifications of size, width, offset, bolt pattern and even color choice. These are not knock offs, they are custom made wheels for your car and your car only.

If you want a truly unique and custom made wheel for your vehicle, then the AUTOart's are the way to go v. other hand made 3 piece options such as HRE, but you've gotta pay to play for such exclusivity.

Thanks for all the interest and discussion of these products, have a good one!!!

The wheels have forged and cast components. The barrels are forged, and the face's are cast. They also offer some weight savings techniques such as custom barrel machining and step lip/smaller faces on select styles including the VYC Race, should you plan to use these wheels for a track car.

All load/stress/weight testing is completed at the AUTOart factory in Hong Kong. Only when they achieve the best combination of safety and weight savings will they build and assemble your set. This price includes the air freight from the factory directly to your door.

The truly custom aspect of these wheels is what makes them so expensive. They can and have built some amazing setups for some of the most exclusive high performance vehicles in the world. I will post up some pictures so you can see what I mean.

                          Have a good one!!!

Thanks for clarification...I understand cost now. For the record I never said knockoff. Haha. I just wanted justification of cost.
