    M3 problems

So a couple issues , one big one that just happened today.

1: drivers side window switch failed . Window won't go down. Pretty sure its.the switch as it doesn't click anymore when you press it.

2 : just today the passenger window stopped working. It's stuck half way up , won't go up or down . Switch seems fine , when you press it you can hear a regulator or something and the dome light will dim but nothing happens. This is the window you did the motor/regulator on before the cruise.

3: Last week I noticed a lot of corrosion on the battery. That battery is new(just before cruise) and I have never had corrosion on the terminal before. What would cause that?

Couple pictures.. there was actually a stilagmight or stilagtight (whatever its called..lol ) of corrosion almost a half in tall on top. But I broke.it off before I took the picture.

Wondering when you could take a look at the window before we get rain?
Probably just order a switch for.the.other one or find a junkyard one. it getting the other window up is main priority.

Only thing I know that causes terminal corrosion like that is a leaking battery or a gassing battery. Both are signs of age/problems. If I remember correctly, that was a refurb battery from interstate. Not sure what warranty they offer but I'm sure Haleem knows.

Brought the car down and Haleem took the door apart and determined the motor crapped out. We had just replaced it but unfortunately to cut costs a used one was installed. So this time the gamble didn't work.

So we got the window up and shimmed into place for now.

        Thank you Haleem.
