I would do CP pistons and Manley Hbeam rods. The rods are only a little more then the eagles, but much better. You'll regret using stock rods. Even with rod bolts, you're only patching the next weak link. I wouldnt do 2.0 heads unless they're Version8 heads. You'll loose AVCS and the smaller port sizes are going to cost you power and torque. This is why all the "hybrid's" will run 2.0 blocks and 2.5 heads.

Yup, didn't want them anyways . Crank and the cams are the most wanted and maybe the rods .

Edit: sorry, just noticed I typed pistons. I ment rods .

Randall said Cp or wisco but he has been happier with the wisco , can't remember exactly why . Cause they come with coated skirts and they are quieter running then the CP I think is what he said.

Yea, I would feel better doing rods for sure . But I'm limited power wise by my trani at 350 unlike a Sti , so I wasn't sure if it would be on stock.

I thought everyone was running 2.0 heads on the 2.5 block ?? That's what the hybrid motor is .

Durr... yeah you're right. Those guys were all on 2.0 blocks before which means 16 bit ecu's, which means they never has AVCS. You have AVCS so getting rid of it is gonna suck.

The Wisco pistons are nice as well. I'll price both for you.

Yea, that's what I was starting to notice. The 2.0 guys buy 2.5 short blocks and run there stock heads . But not many 2.5 guys going to 2.0 heads. I think you have to change the harness , not worth it..lol I was only thinking about it cause the heads were $300 .

Yea price on both please, also price on both rods .

Oh, have you heard about these new rod/main bearings by King or something. I guess they just came out this year amd they have re worked the #3 bearing to help with lubricating . Randall is putting them in a motor right now.

                Edit:

Found this thread on them .. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2437470

A lot of speculation still .

Can't comment on them as we haven't used them. The original Kings and ACL's we've used have been pretty perfect as long as they're clearanced correctly. This is why I have Randall build the short blocks now. If something happens he will fix it. He's done so many of them now that he knows what they like.

Most are 2.5 blocks with 2.0 heads w/ special headgasket ...

But as far as getting rid of the AVCS ...Not bad Alex . Brian Crower sell cams and gears to eliminate it

Yeah but you eliminate AVCS .

I'm going get the 2 heads and the crank . I picked up a set of Sti cams but I want to have Randall check them out and make sure there good. As long as he ok's them I won't need the new cams.

I forgot to ask you for a oil cooler .

So the 2 heads, crank and a oil cooler. I have the cash, you need payment to order or pay when I pick it up? Also how long for that stuff to come in?

                        Thanks
