Video of some other type's we tune here at GSD

Not overly impressive power wise, but it sure sounds and looks like it!!!

Took a while to get it dialed in. It wouldn't idle, drove like trash and was an absolute slug off the line when we got it. She's much livlier now as you'll see

I haven't driven it further then the parking lot, but it makes 550lb/ft of torque the second your foot hits the floor, so it's fun for sure.

sounds real good but those numbers don't seem right, anything wrong with the setup? a mild unblown 540 should be over 600hp. the marine crate 315cc 540's are 650 out the box.

Yeah just make sure you are comparing apples to apples. There's usually a pretty significant loss for rwd drivetrains from flywheel hp to whp.

550+whp and ft/lb at the wheels is no joke.

It's a poor head/cam combo if I had to guess. It was built by Borowski racing engines(http://www.borowskirace.com/)

We have the build sheet and engine dyno numbers.... which say 950 crankshaft HP. I don't believe it. Also the car has a TH400 with a real loose converter and those MASSIVE tires. Even at 25% loss, it doesn't add up to 950.

Car was EXTREMELY lean and way overtimed. Had the wrong balancer, wrong blower pulley adapter, etc etc etc. It didn't idle, barely started and drove like a pile of sh!t. At least now it's drivable and runs pretty damn good.

It might be the video but it sounds like the cam is all kinds of funky, maybe timed weird. It is also running a blower designed in the 50's for a 2 stroke diesel truck with 8 cylinders and 71 cid per cylinder. Seem like you did a bang up job getting it to run right though.

We didn't build the motor, but according to the spec sheet it the cam was timed and set. We all describe the car as a "Match box toy" or a "cartoon car". It looks all bad ass and old school and fast.
