Well don't forget its also your shop car..

What would be the point of me dropping a ton of money into I car I don't have the funds to fix if something were to break? I don't have the money to build the motor to make it worth spending that much money to turbo it.

    Make Sense?

I've actually been wondering about the design of turbocharger blades. If you look at jet engines, their blades are curved where as turbocharger blades are flat. Even the slightest change can drastically alter airflow when you are talking about 150,000 RPMs.

All beside the point, and I'm sure you know all of this, but turbine's use multiple stages of compression with each stage having different angles and designs and take into account density altitude from zero to 60'000 feet. Also the average Pratt engine spins around a 39,000 rpm at 104%. Turbo's usually max out around 60,000 rpm.

Garrett does a pretty good job of mapping the compressor wheels for optimum flow, spool and surge. Those guys are a lot smarter then me, odds are they got it right
