What are they looking to do with the 2012 Jeep SRT8??
The 2012 Jeep SRT is all but confirmed. They will have the new body style like the regular Grand Cherokee's, just different powerplant and tranny. Supposedly a 6.4L matched to an 8 speed automatic. Honestly, I think I would stick with the one I have now since they might get rid of the center exhaust and the new body style doesn't really catch the eye as much as the older models. (06-10) But if, and when they come out with it we'll see how it looks. I heard something around a $55k price tag too

It could have been. I've made about 100 passes with the truck since I've owned it. I usually go up there with a group of guys who also drive Jeep SRT's so it could have been one of them. If you remember what the date was I could tell you if I was there or not.

Thanks man. It really only takes a beating up there, but it doesn't do too bad on the streets either

Yeah now that I think about it you did. That's good to hear I want to see that thing in action though. I'm busy the rest of this week maybe next week sometime? Liz's party wasn't anything special anyway so not a big deal.

Nice. There's only a handful of Jeep SRT's running the techco out there. Is it more popular with the LX/LY?

Thanks. They are getting tough to find, especially in the past year. The BMW X5M and the Porsche Cayenne have stepped up their game to claim the fastest production SUV's out there, but both of them are TT and more than double the price tag.

Welcome. Sick friggin Jeep. Looks killer blacked out. Same rims but painted black?

A guy at my work drives a maroon one. Not sure what year but same body style like yours. Stock, but still crazy. Said he's buying the new one when they come out.

Thanks man. Yeah they are stock wheels but powdercoated gloss black. Painting them will eventually chip off and isn't nearly as good as the powdercoat. I might know the guy you work with. Ask him if he is a member of the cherokee srt forum, if so I've probably run into him at one point.

Have you dyno'd it yet with those mods? Wonder what the drivetrain loss is through the AWD versus the 2WD SRT's. Seems the auto 2wd stuff only looses about 12% from the ones I've dyno'd/tuned/read about.

Never been dyno'd. The drivetrain loss with the AWD is between 20% and 25%. I know the 2WD is significantly less than AWD.

HAHA Good one. The Jeep SRT's are 1" lower all around than the regular Grand Cherokee's from the factory. The springs I have on it now lower it another 1" in the front and 1.7" in the rear. I wanted more of a level stance than a raked look.
