you are in the wrongs. your right, it has 3 modes. 2wd, auto 4wd, and lock. auto 4wd engages at any speed when slip is detected, and when the slip has stopped, awd disengages. LOCK though on the other hand, only locks out ALL of the wheels, up to 36mph. it may not be FULL TIME awd, but it is in fact real awd. just not full time like a subaru or a mitsubishi

^^^ Yea It's AWD just not Full time AWD. Like My R32, Speed6 Fwd till the front slips then it's AWD. Even the Skyline but reverse RWD till Slip. It's still AWD.

already did now its switchable to full time awd. all it is is just screwing with the ecu. i went to the dealer and they hooked me up. so now its switchable between 2wd, auto 4wd, and locked awd. i leave it in auto awd, saves a good amount of gas and prevents the clutch plates in the driveshaft that engage the rear wheels from wearing out prematurely thats what the dealer told me anyways haha.

ms6 was a torque sensing actuator that turned on whenever you gave the car gas. just cruising speed it was FWD though. same w/ ur R32... it will be AWD even if its not slipping, just fwd when its cruising

Yes there is a % torque transfered to the rear depending on pedal angle and the speed your doing... blah blah blah Just wasn't important to the post to go into Detail about 2 cars not in this thread.

The front and the rear axle of the car is connected via the wet multi-plate clutch which makes it possible to vary the torque distribution between the two axles. As the function of the Haldex Gen IV is independent of the differential speed between the front and the rear axle full lockingtorque, if needed, is available at any given time and speed.

When starting the vehicle the electrical pump in the Haldex Gen IV is started, swiftly providing the system with pressurized oil and thereby making the system ready for operation. The control valve sets the pressure to the piston which in turn compresses the disc package. The level of pressure set depends on the torque level needed which in turn depends on the driving situation. In traction/high slip conditions, a high pressure is delivered: in tight curves (i.e. parking), or at high speeds - a much lower pressure is provided.

I love Hurricane Mtn Rd. Been over it on my bike and the MS3. Gotta be careful on the bike though, lots of spots where I got airborne accidentally.

as for needing a turbo? yeah, just need the summer to come sooner!!! and it most definitely is a different car, but i sure do love it
Welcome to Maine. Looks like a fun car...by all means bring it out to one of our autocross events (Cumberland Motor Club)...we have a couple hot shoes that drive Minis that need some good competition. The first event of the season kicks off during the last weekend in April...two day event at Storyland in Glen, NH. If you would like to go to a meeting to introduce yourself we have them at 7 pm at Pedro O'Hare's Restaurant in Freeport on the last Wednesday of every month.
